Hdr 1000s
Bought one of these over Christmas - very satisfied generally as picture seems even better than with the HDR Foxsat.
Couple of questions though: 1. Does this have a screensaver you can enable - mine appears not to have one which is most annoying as pausing any programme puts my £1.8K plasma at risk of screenburn if I exit the room and then am longer than expected or forget I have tv on from getting caught up in something else. 2. How do you control what screen the box starts with? Mine rarely goes to the channel it was left on but usually starts with the small version of the epg on display - quite annoying as then you have to navigate your way out of it before you can watch anything! One other thing that's annoying if anyone from Humax is reading is the exit button! You go into the epg, select a channel to watch, click watch, it goes to the channel but leaves the programme information ribbon displaying, so you go to exit as you would on the Foxsat HDR to exit this dialogue ribbon......and it exits the channel you just chose and puts you right back where you started on the previous channel before you started searching the epg! (Multiple swear words!). It appears that the back button is the correct button for getting rid of the ribbon but why? You're not going backwards to the epg you're exiting the ribbon - would make more sense for the exit button to exit the display ribbon and back button to go back to the previous channel surely! |

1: No.
2: You can't. The other thing: Freesats in charge of the UI, Humax are just under contract to make the box on behalf of Freesat. |

Hmm. Annoying!
Also, since when were Freesat in charge of the button functions? So far as I was always aware, Freesat provided the epg but the way it was controlled in the remote was down to each individual manufacturer. |

Ah ok.
Maybe Humax need to be making some representations to Freesat with some feedback therefore as it makes no sense for a "back" button to exit and an "exit" button to take you back!!!! Plus there's the whole screen saver issue assuming Humax have no control over that either. |

Are you sure your actually selecting Watch now with the OK button? If I select a channel via the Guide the selected channel appears top right with prog info to the left and the menu beneath (Record, Watch now, About, Close menu) Select Watch now with the OK button and the channel appears with the Now & Next banner, pressing Exit and it disappears.( it disappears on its own after 5 seconds) Pressing Back or Exit while the menu is on screen and it returns to the previous channel. |

Yeah on mine I press OK over watch it now and if I press back it exits the banner and if I press exit it goes back to the previous channel!
It only does if it I select watch now. At all other times exit is exit and back is back. |
