Good Afternoon Honey.:+))))))))))))))))))

I agree, they always go for the light, at my other place i had some fluorescent lights in the kitchen a long time ago and had to keep taking the cover off to clean it out as all the dead flies and moths stopped the light getting out.

I suppose it can be expected when thats how most creatures navigate, towards the light.

PS.
I've ordered 2 more trees, a Victoria Plum & a Braeburn Apple.

Have had to put a net around one of the pear trees as something is taking a bite, but the piece taken out is still attached to the pear, it's narrow like a beak.
Very strange.

Not sure if you mentioned it, did you think Moths didn't like computer rooms then?
The love carpets in computer rooms, and other rooms of course, and curtains, clothes etc.
Don't think they are keen on computers because the metal and plastic isn't to their taste.

Now you know why they don't make computers out of carpet material.

PS.
Did the scary music frighten the moths?”

My moths thrive on absolutely anything...

I have had to prise many larva cases with the horrible little green larvae in them off the furniture, even..

I also found some in a plastic bag of clothes that I thought I had protected with no less than 5 moth balls (I have a little hoard since the bureacrats in Brussels banned the selling of them). Not that they make moth balls like they used to....
Has anyone had any experience of Moth Shield? I saw an advertisement for this in a magazine, but it seems very costly and possibly not safe around chihuahuas.

Good Morning Moots.:+))))))))))))))

Not ballerina type, Normal Trees.

The perp had taken a small chunk out of a few pears, the pears are only half grown at the mo.
It was as if the piece had been scooped out by a beak as the scoop was only about 6mm wide.

Hi Moots.:+))))))))))))))))))))

I have a feeling the Blackbirds turned their attention to the other fruit after i netted the Strawberries and Cherries, the Squirrel got the strawberries as it found a gap in the netting but never seen anything taking bites out of half grown pears.
Have had to net them, the wasps are nibbling the Plums now.

Maybe you could grow something they particularly like so they eat that and leave everything else alone? You cant very well cover up the trees, can you?

hello all

We boldly went to a new garden centre today - it was new because we thought it was going to be the one we usually go to.

We travelled through lots of ancient pcturesque villages with strange junctions and roundabouts that existed only in the mind of the satnav. Consequently, the satnav lead us almost up several garden paths... I would swear that the satnav even got a bit tearful after telling us many times to turn around wherever possible, or do a U turn...

It was worth it in the end..

Good Morning Everyone.:+))))))))))))))))

A nice day for 99% of us today.

Found the culprit testing the pears by taking a nip out of it, not the birds, it's a squirrel, saw it going up and down all the trees this morning looking for a meal.
It finished off all the strawberries so now its after fruit from another source.

Hello all

We hired the satnav with the car, Hicky. I though most of these had an automatic yearly update?

I didn't think you'd be one of those people that would blindly follow a satnav! I wouldn't put my faith in one without a backup map ! Glad it turned out ok though!

sometimes neither the maps or the satnavs have the very latest diversions, and if you want to be bothered with maps why would you get a satnav?

CL sees it as a personal challenge to find a quicker way and beat the satnav.

Exactly - I don't think i phrased that quite right, it was meant more in general terms as i have never had a sat nav lol
