If I lose my voice the only thing that really helps is Olbas Oil pastilles, or the Boots own brand Carrarrh pastilles. They are absolutely revolting and I don't know why they work for me, but they do.

When I was a child we had "Vicks lozenges" which were like triangular slabs of concrete and tasted beyond vile but were quite effective.
I wonder if you can still get them?

You can get the concrete all right, i just use the 'Strepsils' at the sign of a cough or sore throat.

I see, I would say they can't get enough people from the UK, it seems obvious to me that it's so hard to get volunteers, thats why they have to offer them so much money.
If it was easy to get people they would be getting £500 a week.
