It was 4C outside by my summerhouse this morning, you are lucky with 18C, we have 16C.

Hello all

Where IS everybody, apart from Hicky, Eddy and Me??

Rupert Mootle is off his food again... I'm hoping it is just because the groomer came to do Emily Mootle and Zaccy Mootle today, and there is always quite a lot of barking and stress...

Good Morning Moots.:+)))))))))))))))))

Very thin on the ground these days, people can't be bothered unless BB is on.
It's more like an unsocial network lately..

Surely Rupert wouldn't stop eating because a groomer came.
I'm a bit ignorant about all this, why was all the barking because a groomer came?

Hi there Hicky. Good morning everyone.

Dull start to the day but the sun is figting to get out. Sunshine forecast for late morning and the rest of the day. 15c.

Looking forward to my godson taking me out for lunch. Today it's my choice. Yummy.

Good Morning Eddy.:+))))))))))))))))))

Sun expected here at 5pm, wow, not a good sign, very misty still

Sounds good to me, i love having the choice, enjoy your meal.

Yes, have got the Polycarbonate 6mm sheeting up, it is in 10 sections of course with it being a Hex design, have installed the sheets with 1cm holes and fixed with 6mm screw fasteners with M6 threaded ends, 15mm thread and 15mm screw, over that i put M6 rubber and stainless steel penny washers with stainless M6 wingnuts, this give expansion room for temperature changes and the sheets can be removed very easy if need be for cleaning.

Also means i can use the Gazebo in the Winter for a BBQ if we get a nice day.

Emily Mootle (like me) hates and detests her personal space being invaded, and being washed and having her hair trimmed, so I have to block off all exits and hiding places in advance, so that I can pounce swiftly on poor Em as soon as the groomer arrives. She is then carted off to the van shivering violently. When she gets back she barks with outrage - it used to be for 48 hours, but now we only suffer for an hour or two. When Zaccy Mootle then got carted off to be pampered, I think poor little Rupert Mootle assumed he was about to be transferred to that place where they stick needles in your front paw and thermometers in other places every hour - he hasn't forgotten his recent little stay in hospital, I'm sure. He was incredibly anxious - ears flattened, licking lips, imploring expression, runny tummy, the usual..
Argh then he wouldn't eat... Today he is more chirpy and has eaten some lovingy cooked chicken breast (M&S's best, natch) but he isn't quite himself..

considering the weather plays a massive part in everyones lives in the UK it's no wonder they spend so long talking about it.

Oh, and the sun has just come out.

It is not surprising we spend so much time talking about the weather when it changes every five minutes! Its all well and good saying that there is no bad weather, just inappropriate clothing, but here, the weather changes so fast we would all need to carry sandals, wellies, sheepskin coats, rain coats, summer coats, cardigans, vest tops, shorts, jeans, sun block, umbrellas, parasols, gloves etc every day to be properly prepared.

Poor old Emily. I suppose she is a bit hefty for you to wash her in the sink? Nobby is easy enough but Pippin is very woolly and needs lots of rinsing so is a bit awkward.

I often get the cheaper frozen chicken breast for them, but throw away the first water when I boil it to get rid off any added salt etc.
I do hope Rupert gets better soon.

Its been one back incident after another over the last few weeks so I have mostly been demented in bed. A recent trip to "The land of rudeness" (some call it Birmingham) made it much worse.
Today it feels more like "normal" so hopefully that is the end of it.

It's the thing that hides behind the clouds when you want to have a nice BBQ and comes out when all the visitors are going home.

I've heard it mentioned on the weather forecast but think it's going into hiding next week.

oh noooo Honey I hope it gets better soon. - I was starting to get worried about you... Is your daughter settling in well at University?

Poor Em is much too big for even the kitchen sink. I could probably do Zaccy, but it is a constant battle to keep his furry undercoat stripped.

Rupert has eaten quite well today, but I am still worried about him. I tried the frozen chicken breast but made the mistake of tasting it, and I would say that it was about 90% water and very salty.

Hi Moots.:+)))))))))))))))))

Had more sun this week than had in the summer.

Made the mistake of putting the old tomato plants through the shredder, won't do that again, had to undo the intake chute to get the mess out, a bad idea to do that.

A mistake, thought tasting it told you to boil the salt out and the oven would soon dry the flesh out to make it palatable.
