To cool down when you are hot you need a hot drink, this makes you perspire which causes cooling on the skin.
The process of refrigeration is of course evaporation.
Thats why you feel cold getting out of water as your body tries to dry you.

Exactly, i rarely need to keep changing from winter to summer clothes as i don't notice the change.

It's a reality program and i love them all.”

How odd. I have never thought of using ammonia because wee contains it, but the proof is in the pudding! I will definitely give that a try.
Maybe it smells like a massive pitbull has weed there or something?

I havent seen ammonia for a while, and I wondered if it had been banned, like borax.

Wee changes, i believe when human wee is fresh you can drink it, if your life depended on it, you can also dilute it to feed plants, but if it is left then it changes and it becomes undrinkable and shouldn't be given to plants, but you can use it on the compost heap.
The Ammonia smell means it is not fresh.

I got it online, diluted it 60ML to 3L of water.

I would actually rather die than drink it.

I think the reason shops stopped selling it is because you can use it for making bombs or something.
As if a terrorist would be put off because they couldn't get it at tesco and had to use ebay?

It was used as a stain remover originally.

Here are 10 household uses.

I use it in the twin tub sometimes, but I havent seen it on sale for a while. Anyway, the twin tub conked out last year and im still looking for another.

In case anyone looking for ammonia stumbles across this, you can ONLY use ammonia with bleach free soap powder such as pure soap flakes (which you can use in twin tubs but not automatics)
You cant mix bleach and ammonia because it creates a deadly gas.

Also, you must not add water to Ammonia, you have to add Ammonia to the water.

Nobby would like to wee on everything that comes into the house to declare ownership. Or anything he can cock his leg on outside.
If you give me your magic formula I will use it on the leg of my garden chair that he wees on every morning while he waits for me to make tea and follow him. (sitting in the other chair instead just makes him wee on that one too)

But wouldnt it be more useful for people in a hot place to have a cool body and the other way around? ”

It's called Urine-Off and you can get it on ebay. Or rather you used to be able to.

It is a black comedy about how the human race acts when it realises a huge comet is about to hit the earth in 39 days. I seem to recall it is on Channel 5 and repeated on Saturdays.

NB NB NB Ammonia is a powerful bleaching agent as well! I have heard that footman follow the corgis in Buckingham Palace with soda siphons to spray on the canine indiscretions

I have tried Urine-off. In our house we call it "Rip-off" because it was no help at all.

Do you remember me mentioning the large local dog who was so under-exercised he couldnt make it to the field without dolloping something that looked like brick dust right outside our house?
The poor sod (who appeared very placid) bit a child and was put down recently.

Why doesnt my multiquote work and how can I fix it? For me, this site is a bit crap since it was "fixed".

Hello, Sleeps. Long time no see. Hope everything is well with you.

oh dear, poor dog, poor child... Or should it be the other way round?

Er, Honey, I once found that my multiquote wasn't working, but this was because I had forgotten to eventually press add reply, duh
I've also found that sometimes when I click on the multiqute button, the earlier multi quotes don't work

The head should be removed from school for being stupid.
There's nothing at all wrong with the boys hair.
It's winter and having a skin head could cause him to be ill due to the cold, his head would have no winter cover.

Its scary to think someone with such extreme views could achieve such a position as headmaster!

I am normally of the opinion that if parents are saving themselves huge amounts of money by sending the child to school they should go along with the rules or educate them themselves, but this is just plain daft and looks a lot like bullying to me.

Why wasnt it called Big Brother radio right from the start? I expect more people will find it now.

Evening all

I don't appear to be able to multi quote either, I was trying to agree with Barra that there's nothing wrong with that little boy's haircut, in fact I think it looks very smart. It's not 'extreme' and I think the Head should have a re-think

Hope everyone is well - mid October and we're still having sunshine most days, it's wonderful
