It might have rained here, didn't hear it though.
I leave buckets outside which tell me if it rained.

Here's one of my many tree's, it a Plum Cordon called Lizzy, full flower all ready in March.
It was laden with fruit last year as well.

its lovely, Hicky. How much fruit do you think you will get this year?

I was watching the Eddie Izzard thing and I was really surprised by the lovely Nelson Mandela statue at the end (not that im keen on Mandela)
I had seen pictures of it, but with nothing to give an idea of the size, so I thought it was much much smaller.

We could do with a whacking great one like that of Princess Diana

I agree Honey. At the risk of sounding maudlin and over sentimental, apparently one of her favourite photos was of her with a poorly child on her lap. That would make a beautiful statue. Maybe when Prince William becomes king...

I haven't seen the programme about the Queen, but have recorded it. I wonder why Eugenie became upset???

Was it this one? http://i3.mirror.co.uk/incoming/arti...ith-cancer.jpg

I would choose a simple photo of her holding William to be turned into statue.

Hi Honey, If the flowers set into fruit it will be great, it's the 1st out of 32 tree to be in flower.

I agree about one for Diana.

Hello all from my

poota.

*moots looks around*

where is everybody?

Keep meaning to say that when I was channel hopping the other day I came across a programme called Teenage Mom Later On, and lo! there was that Farrah Creature, along with her approx 4 year old daughter, who appeared to be in full make up.

I watched only long enough for Farrah to tell her mother on the phone that she no longer "happy with" the mother looking after her while she, Farrah, was "away". Pleas from the mother that she had had to rearrange her life and had even lost her job so that she could look after the child fell on deaf and selfish ears.... Meanwhile the child was huddled on the bed with her eyes shut and herhands over her ears, so that she wouldn't have to hear her grandmother crying.

Hmm. If Farrah's mother didnt appear pleasant in front of the child and somehow distract her so she could speak in private, I am with Farrah on this. She should take her child and run.

noooo, what happened was that Farrah phoned her mother, and she must have had her on speakerphone because both sides of their conversation were audible. I doubt if the poor grandmother even knew that the kid was there.

I wonder if this wasfilmed just before Farrah went on CBB...

Cant you switch speakerphone off ? especially if little ears might hear. I think her daughter is sevenish now so it must have been before.

Its an odd story about the dull girl from CBB who was cavorting with Vernon Kay.
I cant remember one memorable thing about that poor girl.

Is anyone watching "raised by wolves" ? I adore Germaine.

Hello peeps

Honey, I tink Farrah must have turned on the speakerphone just so that the viewers could hear her mother's distress, at first havng been asked to look after the kid, and having lost her job so that she could take time off to do so, and then having the whole thing blow up in her face....

Our blossom is awfully slow this year. It was just beginning before the cold spell but it must have killed it off.

Oh, so the child couldn't hear both sides? Knowing Farrah from CBBC, and seeing how thoughtless she can be, it might just be a whim, but in general i would say the child's welfare trumps jobs and inconvenience and if you are not happy with the childcare you should never persist with it.
(I actually think children should only be brought up by family, but thats just me)
