I am sitting in silence waiting for a parcel to be delivered, frightened to cough, clang my cup, or anything else that might prevent me hearing the postman in the two second window they give you to hear the slight tap on the door and sprint towards it.

Don't you have the door chimes? i have a dual set, the chime in the kitchen lets me open the window so i can hear if someone rings the bell while i am in the garden.

62 is comparatively young although I read that he had respiratory and possible heart issues.
I think I will genuinely miss him, I rarely say that about people I didn't know!

I usually dont comment on the death of someone i have never met, and I cant bear all the R.I.Ping, But I am genuinely saddened by this. He was one of my very favourite contestants, and possibly the nicest.
I didn't know that David Gest was such an Anglophile. He said last month that he had turned his back on America and would not return, 'I will never go back to LA; I will die here and want to be buried in York. I love this country much more than my own'.

I knew that he loved the UK from interviews I've read, but had no idea that he wanted to stay here and be buried here. Good choice York, beautiful city.
I think it says a lot about him that we are affected as we are - we're different people, different backgrounds and lives, yet his death has touched us all.
I hope that whatever it was, it was quick.

Had some workers redoing the roof ridge-tile cement and scraping the moss off, they have had their shirts off all day, still have.
I've been in the garden all day, if there's no wind then it always feels warmer.

I think his house move is still going on, isnt it? Maybe he will pop in and tell us how he is? I have got his email but I dont like to bother him with him not being well.
I do miss hearing from him.
