I was at the hospital today and noticed that it has been covered in giant preachy posters everywhere.

"Im a doctor, Im here to do good. Dont smoke on me. Ask a nurse for advice on how to stop"

"I was in my hospital bed for ten days and my first breath of fresh air was ruined by cigarette smoke. Ask a nurse for free patches"

Cant find where you are going? Ask a nurse to help"

"Eliminate bugs-wash your hands. ASK A NURSE FOR HELP"

You can jolly well see the nurses hurtling around doing five jobs at once. I'm pretty sure they dont need extra petty jobs on top.
And as for all the "dont smoke on the premises. Seek help to give up" , if people could give up instantly why are the NHS funding all the support services for people stopping smoking?
Just give smokers a safe patch to smoke in for goodness sake and stop the holier than though attitude!

Disclaimer.
I have never smoked and would rather not walk through a cloud of it getting into the hospital, but i would rather that than have addicts deliberately tormented.
Our local hospital has banned smoking in the hospital and in the hospital grounds. I do feel sorry for the smokers one used to see, usually missing a limb or two, smoking in their wheelchairs outside the hospital doors.

The last time I was there I noticed an enormous photo frame, like Huuuuge, bearing photos of all the many administrators and their Mickey Mouse jobs, but not one indicating who a hapless patient could complain to.

You would think there ought to have been an even larger display bearing the photos of the consutants who worked there, with their qualifications and length of tenure, wouldn't you?

sorry Honey for slaughtering all your smilies!

Arrgh no multiquote again....

Honey, the proud bearer of the super droopers on display was Asheligh Defty, dating Leicester footballer Danny Simpson, on page 13 of, wait for it, the DM! At least she was looking natural and not pulling a funny face like Chole Fulford on the same page...

I wonder which sets off best the strange faces that young women pull in selfies this days - the silicone mini mountains, or the super droopers??

Also in the DM (today) is a whole lot of news about Helen Wood, who is at it again (for a price) with a married male A-Lister whose fame is complemented by his glamorous wife and family..

there is an injunction preventing her from naming him in this country, although the whole of America knows.. I can only think of one person, but I am not much into Hollywood goss.

I had always assumed that our Helene had been dragged up in a slum, but apparently her father is a University music lecturer and her mother is a primary school teaching
assistan!

They must be so proud of her....
I havent heard of the wag or the footballer, but I found this pic of Charlotte Crosby doing that underboob thing. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...ltry-snap.html

Helen hasnt just done the prostitution thing, it all happened years ago. I dont know why it it is in the news again. "A lister" is stretching it, in my opinion. He had the most prominent male role in a longrunning BBC series about a giant house, and he has been a secondary actor in practically all of Hugh Grant's films so the Americans have probably never heard of him.
As for his glamorous wife and family. I have no idea who they are. (neither does he by the sound of it)

I think Helen was thrown out of home at an early age, so having a decent background was no help to her at all.

hello all

Hi Hicky - it was the fabric paint spray:cool:
Hi Moots, so you painted the material, it will probably hold it's paint smell so animals may not like that.

Its quite bright here now. I expect the sun will hit you in a minute. I thought it was going to rain earlier and got the washing in for nothing.

I am off to town to meet my daughter off the train and have something to eat if we can fight through the crowds.

I am NEVER going shopping again. All I wanted was a pair of Scholls. They are not in shops anymore.

Why not? It's a very popular brand. Just checked, Amazon has plenty.

Yes, but You cant try then on at Amazon. Actually, Amazon and every other online shop i can find either lists just the English sizes , which is no use because they are often creatively translated from European, or they dont list the width fitting.
(The ACTUAL Scholl shop online is very peculiar. Their descriptions are inaccurate so i ruled them out)

All except for one place which has the European sizes (as printed on the shoe) and the width fitting, but only have the lurid Hawaiian print, so I have ordered those and will just pretend I am one of Black Lace.
I could easily slip in at the back... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POv-3yIPSWc

Make it? That sounds a bit gruesome. Mine is made of manure but it came in a bottle.
we have been wrestling with a deck chair, and i think it is under submission now.

Hi Honey, yes, a shovel full of concentrated manure into 30 litre of water, stir and leave 24 hours, ladle out and sieve, pour into 100 litre tank, keep making then water down, i have a hose real attached to the tank for feeding the trees, they all have a pipe for water and one for feed.

I was beginning to get worried too, especially as she said she was going to do more to the carpets.
I do hope she hasnt injured her back or neck.

She was having Puter problems 2 days ago, unless all those dogs have attacked her complaining about the carpet.
