Good morning.

Miserable start to the day but it's now turned out really pleasant and very sunny. Hope it lasts. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Good Afternoon Everyone.:+))))))))))))))))

A cool day here, some sun expected but not holding my breath waiting, hardly any wind.

Hi Honey.:+))))))))))))))

I'm glad Joni liked my garden, it seems certain years some veg does better than others.
I don't understand how my spring onions are so different from last year, the same type seeds exactly but they have bulbs on, it's as if the wrong seeds were in the packet.
They were Lisbon.
My Cucumbers did nothing, didn't grow chillies although they usually do ok.
My cherry toms from grafted plants did well, very pleased with them.
Will have to work out wht to grow for next year.

Hi Moots.:+)))))))))))))))

I saw Nikki & Pete on Loose Women, it was hard to watch, he ruined the interview really, he was jumping around like a from, it was all put on for the camera's, poor Nikki, he was an embarrassment.

Yes i sorry i forgot to say you have to be registered on the ITV site to watch any show, but it is free and painless lol

If you just want to watch the N&P bit its on YT Here. Unfortunately this omits an extra bit which featured Nikki on her own backstage before the joint interview, where she was asked if she was looking forward to meeting Pete later in the show, suffice to say she was !

It's quiet in here these days, mind you BB is long gone i suppose.

13c today, not much sun, no rain, no wind either.

I've managed to grow some baby carrots this year, never had much look with them as the growing medium need to be very soft material with no lumps or stones, it's about the 1st time ever, but with raised beds you can control what they grow in.”

I grew a few carrots in pots, just to show the little ones how you plant seeds in soil and watch them grow. They did really well and were very tasty, I was impressed, but I'd never grow them in any quantity as we don't eat many in the summer.

We went to a 'new' garden centre early in the summer and as an afterthought, I bought a tomato plant, I can't remember what variety it was. We've had the most enormous crop of cherry tomatoes for months, in fact I only took it out of the pot last week - I think it cost 75p! I've kept the label from the pot so will definitely grow more next year.

Hi JoJo.:+))))))))))))))

Glad you were pleased with the carrots you grew, if you put the seeds in during the spring, say Apr-may they grow all through the summer, you can pull up some in summer if they have grown enough but they are normally left to grow till now, i'm just going to pick some for the roast dinner later, mine are only baby ones but should be very tasty, i've got about 6ft in total of row but they can be left in the ground for longer, as the weather cools it's unlikely they will grow any more.

I love the cherry toms, had so many this year, had 3 plants but thats plenty for me.

Awful AWFUL news about Pete Burns dying of what must have been a heart attack at the age of 57...

It was described as a "massive cardiac arrest", but really there is only one kind of cardiac arrest, which is when the heart just stops beating.

RIP Pete...I am gutted.

Hi Honey, when i clicked at that link yesterday about the spider it took me to Facebook and wanted me to sign in or join to watch the video.
I've just watched your link, thats one strong spider, i think we would be a lot handier in the house with 8 legs also, not sure about walking up the side of the fridge though, but it would be handy for cleaning the windows and gutter out.

Good luck with the shopping, always best to get it in early.

Yes, and so young, 57 is the old 40 i suppose so a lot of living been lost.
I think they call a massive heart attack as one that you can't come back from and many heart attack victims don't die even if they don't get medical help, but many survive with medical intervention.

I thought it depended which artery was blocked and how much of the heart muscle was affected?

How could a heart condition go unnoticed through all those operations?
I just cant believe he is gone.

Hi Honey.:+)))))))))))))))

Yes, it think that, he must have had a total stoppage of sorts.

I suppose it depends on what tests are done on Pete, he might have had some local anaesthetic for some of the procedures.

Just a weather update, i noticed the sun has come out, which i wasn't expecting, on refreshing the weather forecast, low and behold they have changed it, so funny, we now have sunny spells during the day at 11am and 2pm.

So funny, it's as if someone rang them up.
