Yes, same here, had a lot more sun than i was expecting, mind you it's only early Autumn yet so some reasonable weather can be expected if there is some high pressure over the country.

Evening all

Are we are watching Missing?

Spoiler
I think the brigadier killed the chap who was meant to have committed suicide, because he found out that the brigadier had a harem of the 2 girls he had abducted. Maybe the suicide guy managed to rescue Alice.

We were asked by Europcar to change our lovely Renault Clio for "another car because "another customer specifically requested a small car". Soooooo, we are now hiring a Vauxhall something-or-other with only 2 doors as opposed to the Clio's 4.............

Hmmmm and rolly eyed smilie

. It has SIX forward gears as opposed to the ushe 4 and a puzzling reverse gear, so we are reserving judgement as to why they needed us to swap cars.... My sister actually prefers the new one, as it is otherwise less complicated.

A cool calm cloudy day here, it's 14c but as exciting as a bee sting.

Thank heaven for The Apprentice tonight.

I keep getting confused with the missing but I'm battling through it.
I was confused about the people in the roller coaster photo. Who were they meant to be?

Were you compensated handsomely for swapping cars? Or is the second one more expensive?

They were Sophie Giroux (who for some reason pretended to be Alice) on the right, and the real Alice (very blurred) on the left.

Sophie/Alice had said that sometimes they were allowed out, hence the rollercoaster ride.

Presumably Sophie didn't want to go back to her father, but whyyyy...

We weren't compensated for changing cars, or even aplogised to, but they did seem a tad embarrassed by the situation. The second one is less complicated than the other one, but we had worked everything out by the time we exchanged it.

Ah, i see. What confused me was that I thought the other person was a boy! (off to specsavers)

Evening All.:+)))))))))))))))

Not too cold today, 13c had a little drizzle but mainly cloudy.
Not a lot to do picked and cooked some Beetroot, i should have thinned them out really but i hate pricking the babies out and discarding, should have replanted the babies i suppose.
Going to buy seeds on tape next year, it saves all this thinning out lark.

How does that work, Hicky? The tape, I mean. Is it much more expensive?

I found a blackberry bush today that was a bit slow and it was full of huge and juicy berries. (not any more )

Hi Honey.:+)))))))))))))))

The tape has the seeds spaced on it at the correct spacing for that type of plant, you can get the tape in individual rolls of say 6M for less than £3 a pack or multi packs of 4 or 6 veg for £9.99 which gives 6 tapes of 2M each.
you just put the tape down in a shallow trench as per instructions then cover with a little soil or compost and water, you put it out in say April depending on what veg it is and keep watered until it starts growing.

Seed tapes for Veg & Mats for pots or Herbs.

Good morning everyone.

A misty morning here! Brightening up now and quite mild for the time of year, 11c.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

PS - CBB winner Stephen Bear is 'brutally mugged for his Hublot watch but has the last laugh when he reveals it's fake'
Article here, Mail.

It sounds quite nasty. I don't like the man but I wish him well.

Hi Eddy and Everyone.:+)))))))))))))))))))

Yes, a warmish day here, 14c but just cloud with no wind.

It looks like it had been planned with him showing the watch on social media.
A good idea having a fake watch, saves claiming on your insurance.

Morning all

It's been quite mild here too, although this morning feels a bit chillier.

What a cheek Moots to ask you to change your car - you sound a lot more polite than I would have been!

You were lucky to find blackberries Honey, all the bushes are stripped in my usual hunting grounds!

I'm watching The Missing too although not enjoying this series as much as the last one - it's all so bleak, but I'm hooked now so can't do much about it.

I shall pop in more often if only for Hicky's gardening tips - you should do an online blog Hicky, you'd have thousands of followers

Evening JoJo.:+)))))))))))

Typed out quite a big post but pressed a wrong key somewhere and the post disappeared and i had an old post in the edit box.
It must have been a Ctrl (Control) code, there are so many hidden codes, but no idea which one did it.

I was saying that i don't like to tell anyone what to do, only what i do, that doesn't always work for everyone.
My garden i basically automatic as far as watering is concerned, and rain doesn't get in the tree tubs as they are covered to keep it out and i water the trees from below so the roots grow down rather than up.
the raised beds are spray watered from above but i'm going to have to put them on their own watering timer as the tree timing doesn't agree with the raised beds as they are open to rain.
I've still got carrots, beetroot, celery growing in them as it keeps them fresh, otherwise i have to store them.

I'm going to have to wrap my tree tubs in bubble wrap soon as well, before the frosts come.
going to have a lot of leaves to pick up soon, but i have various method of doing this, also if left to dry the wind funnels them into heaps which makes them easy to collect.
I always keep leaves as they make leaf mold which is good for the raised beds.

Hi Eddy.:+)))))))))))))

That was a very unusual accident, poor woman, a very difficult insurance claim, i meant to fill the forms in.
Very hard to lay blame but whatever went up in flames sure needs to be looked at during that particular operation.

I suppose they see it from the sales side, don't blame them, a strange advert though, i'm sure bears don't celebrate Christmas were i live.

Hi there Hicky, good evening everyone.

Reached 10c this afternoon but we had gorgeous sunshine.

Anyone looking for Mootle? She's having problems with her PC. She can access and log onto most things on the net but not Digital Spy and one or two others.

Oh good. We could do with watching something cheerful after the misery fest that was CBB.

Oh I imagined she was just permanently out on the lash with her sister.

I went off to deliver a training session tonight, and made my CL go and change his jumper in case we gave anyone a lift home after, telling him "I'm trying to give the impression I'm professional"
My dreams of professionalism didnt last long. Approaching the building, I tripped over the dangling strap of my bag and a bunch of clients arrived to find me lying down in a puddle.
