I dont know how any decent surgeon could reinforce her insecurities by agreeing that she needs work doing and then chop away at her.
Young or older, she has always been beautiful.

I was allowed to eat one whole cherry from quite a large crop this year. The blackbirds got the rest..

Ooooh, blush 28 smilies...”

Hi Moots, These Crows and Blackbirds are very clever/wise as well, i don't mind them taking all the scarecrows at the end of the year, but the Blackbirds were pinching the cherries while green and leaving them on the floor, that was before i put the net over them, then when those on the floor ripened i left them for the Blackbirds, i probably only lost 100 or so, won't fall for that next year.
I didn't net them early as i thought the birds would wait until they were ripe, wrong.

It was 9c in my garden, spent a couple of hours tidying up, cut down the Asparagus Ferns, preparing to cover the tree tubs with bubble wrap.
Got loads of leaves to rake up from my slate floor.

Yes, i liked Carol, the public didn't want to save her though.

Hi Moots, Don't think it will be Martin, well i say that, betting has, Wayne, Sam or Larry but the betting doesn't seem to be keeping up with the public for some reason.

I've seen enough of Martin to last a lifetime.

Good Morning Everyone.:+))))))))))))))

Another warmish day here 8c isn't too bad, warmer because of the cloud i expect and wind direction, not much wind though.

Hi Eddy, yes, Scarlett is a real trouper, she's a tough girl, loving her, hope she wins, she deserves it, it would be wonderful for her.

Not many left in camp now, it's hard to call who is next.
I suppose it's down to their fan club.

I wonder if the public want to see those left struggle without the likes of Larry.
I suppose the younger of them have lots of fans, not sure who is voting for Martin, unless they are fans of moaning, he has been the odd one out since he went in.

Just been watching him on the tv, such a scream, but not a bad age to go.
Hope he enjoyed life as much as we enjoyed watching him.
Glad i didn't get a room in that hotel though.

Yes fantasic tribute by the beeb to show that episode in full tonight, seen it many, many times but never gets old, an absolute classic, with more genuine laugh out loud moments in 30mins than most so called comedies can produce in a whole series!

Evening all - much colder the last couple of days, but quite bright.

Moots I'm glad your sister has been mended and is on her way home. She will be very tired for a while, the anaesthetic (assuming she didn't have a spinal block) makes you tired and I imagine she was in shock as well. Is she the sister who was recently with you - I'm thinking probably not??

Wasn't sorry to see Carol leave the jungle, I've never liked her but I have no good reason at all

Amazed that Larry has left before Martin - good grief I hope he isn't going to win

I've got a pot pear tree Hicky, bought in the spring - should I be taking it inside for the winter. It had a lot of leaves over the summer but I'm thinking it won't survive outside - not very tall, maybe 2'6"?

Do you know,it never occurred to me that there might be more than one sister.

I have been freezing all day. The pool heater wasn't working (or something) for my aqua aerobic session, and I never warmed up after it. A couple of the ladies had chattering teeth it was so bad!

Good mornin you lot.

Nice and bright this morning, 6c. A bit windy so it feels colder but apparently it will get nicer and sunnier as the day goes on, just right for a Christmas shopping visit to a local high street.

I wasn't surprised about Martin Roberts but Wayne Bridge was a shock.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

A not so cold day here, 8c again, wormer in the week though, some 12c expected as the wind direction brings some warmer air.

Hi Barra, yes, used to watch every time the show was on, fantastic comedy.

Hi JoJo, Most fruit tree are built to stand the cold weather, and most also need so many days of cold weather to produce fruit the following year, i try to cover my tree tubs with bubble wrap for the winter and leave on till March, you have 2 options really, try and cover the container with sacking or anything that will stop the roots freezing or put the tree in a garage or shed were it can stay above freezing but below 10c.

I made the mistake with my pears last spring in not protecting the flowers from overnight/morning frost, i lost all the pears except the Asian ones which for some strange reason the frost doesn't effect.

Hi Honey, why on earth did you get in the water if it was cold, crazy woman.

I suppose those without teeth weren't effected as gums seldom chatter.

Good Afternoon Everyone.:+))))))))))))))))

A lovely sunny day here on the Wirral, 7c and no wind.
Been i the garden a couple of hours, so many leaves to collect but with a wired tined leaf rake and a grab leaf collector it's a lot easier.

Am pleased with the last 3 in the Jungle, King or Queen, well, we'll have to wait and see i suppose.

If you don't have the app because you are too stupid like me, it costs 50P to vote which rather cramps my style.. I did try with poor bullied Martin, though *runs and hides*

I have the same problem Honey. I seem to desperately require a minimum of 12 hours sleep per day at the moment. (Soooo VERY frustrating!!

JoJo it was the same sister (I only have one) who visited me. She had only been home for a few days She is progressing slowly but still has a lot of pain. Strange, they discharged her without any physio follow up and my niece was expected to give her heparin injections without being told how to do it.. I have been like a zombie, worrying about her. I nearly dumped a large pack of toilet rolls, into my shopping trolley instead of the supermarket one yesterday, right in front of a security guard.

Also not a Carol fan. Why was she so keen to promote herself as a "sexual" woman, at her age?? She has so many other worthwhlle attributes.

Did your pear tree bear any fruit? I cut mine down! I also cut my huge holly tree down, sob, because it might have been advancing towards my drain and I wondered if it was affecting my mobile phone signal. It was so massive and beautiful, and I didn't want to get rid of it completely. I asked the gardener to leave the bare stump, about 5ft tall. Oh dearrr, I wondered why the two gardeners were looking at each other and sniggering... It took me a few days to realise that its appeance MIGHT be misconstrued as Something Else!! deep blush I am going to try and make the top into a sort of bird table....
ASAP!
any other suggestions gratefully appreciated! I did think of painting a face on it...

good riddance to that sycophantic myrmidon *moots rather hopes she got those words right* Larry Lamb's little sidekick who was still moaning about Martin behind his back long after Larry (The Class Warrior) had departed.

Hi Moots.:+))))))))))))))

Now i know who was keeping him in, couldn't you see he was driving all the others potty, he was miserable an moaned all the time he was in there, glad there wasn't 2 like him.

She's after a feller isn't she, thought she was doing an audio/video CV.

A lot of trees will sprout new shoots unless you do something to stop it.
In the spring when a massive amount of of new life surges along the Cambium layer thats under the bark usually triggers the hidden buds that are dormant along the trunk, these could spring to life in an attempt to revive the tree, if this is the case and you nwant to kill the tree cut 2 circles a few inches apart around the trunk about 1 foot above the ground and remove the bark between these cuts, the lack of bark will stop the tree from feeding anything about the cuts, the cambium layer is the trees lifeblood.

This is what I'm hoping for, Hicky, so that I can keep the tree as a more manageable standard perhaps. The problem is we removed all new shoots as they appeared beneath the um canopy of the tree so that we could get underneath it.

Hi Moots, :+)))))))))))))))

I'm confused now, you said you cut it to 5ft so it could be used as a bird table so i assumed you didn't want it to regrow, some trees won't regrow when you cut the trunk like that, , you'll have to wait and see really.
