The weather on the Wirral is unlike any other part of the UK, probably because it's a Peninsular and with having water / rivers one 3 sides we get 10% of any bad weather the rest of the country has.

Got my date for Hip Op. March 25th. very excited.
Thats good, not too long to wait then !

Afternoon all.

Its as if we had! It is really warm and sunny. Its spring. We are just on the other side of the water from Hicky so we usually get similar weather.

Hooray. Not very ;long to wait at all then. Hopefully it will sort out the knee problems too.
CL has a dodgy knee that comes and goes. he fell down a hole at work ages ago and when it gets really bad he makes an appointment with the doctor but by the time it comes around a week or so later he is pirouetting like Wayne Sleep!
Hi Honey.:+)))))))))))))))))
It still seems a long way off, another 5 weeks to wait, but not in my hands so i will be able to get the garden started to some degree.
Not sure what effect it will have on my knee.

Got a 7x5ft summer house and a 10x10ft summer house and a 10x10ft hex Gazebo being delivered before then.
My new fences start going up tomorrow.

Hello all

so do I, but we live in a fattist society, and there are some very unflattering photos of her at the start of her career..

It's quite sunny here too! Maybe your turn will come, Eddy

Ooooooh that is good news!!

I have the same problem - I literally need 2 crutches to get around, and then it suddenly gets better. I think it might be due to a bit of loose cartilage floating round the knee joint
Hi Moots.:+))))))))))))))

A step nearer anyway.

Thats good, not too long to wait then !
Hi Barra.:+)))))))))))))))
It at least brings the waiting for a date to an end, great news.

Yes, Pancake Tuesday, i've got a load in ready now for tonight, think we threw all the honey and syrup away when we moved, all open containers got binned.

Got lemon and sugar though.

The whole pancakes? We got some ready made pancakes once (they were probably ten pence) but they were like leather. Your pancakes sound very exotic.

Crikey! Couldn't they just wear bigger pants?

Thats were O/H got ours, although i used to enjoy making the batter, i thin used to use 2 small fry pans, the first for side 1 then turn it over into pan 2, then when ready put on warm plate in oven, a teaspoon of oil in the first pan, none in second, that way i could make an awful lot of pancakes and very fast.
But these ready made ones i will fry dry in a large frying pan thats pretty hot, it will only take a mo, then turn it over.

I used to enjoy one with syrup, next with honey, next lemon and sugar, just put honey and syrup on the kitchen fridge note pad.

I am confident that I shall once again be crowned king tosser.

Before my Pancakes a bit later had a RibEye Steak from Costco, wow, it must be the best steak ever, it's even better that Fillet, only because it tastes better with it having the fat marbling, i just have it with a baked spud, fried onion and mushrooms.

A cup of tea now to wash it down then the pancakes.

Is it much better than from that mobile meat van you sometimes use?

To be Honest Honey, the Ribeye Steak from the wagon was ist class, although O/H wouldn't eat meat off a wagon, i'd eat it out of a bin.

My lad bought some from the Birkenhead Market the other week, he said it was £10 for 6 steaks.
A lot of meat from Costco O/H isn't so keen, but some really lovely.

Bought the Battery Cleaner, the VTech one, it's cheaper in Costco.
This one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gtech-AirRam...=sweeper+gtech

A bit cheaper in Costco though.
I rang the company and you get 2 spare free filters when you register.

It really is fantastic, it tells you how much battery power you have whilst using it, 1 charge gives 40 minutes use.
It's so light, exactly what O/H wanted as she can't push the heavy ones.

My latest drawing of the decking, it's approx a scale of 1 to 60 to give the size in mm.

The second drawing is the Garden plant tub layout showing summer houses, Gazebo and Raised Beds.

’d evening.

We’ve been wondering about getting a GTech – was looking at this offer. From reviews I’ve read it seems you get better service if you buy directly and it looks a good offer.

Is it very noisy, Hicky?

Hi Gemo.:+))))))))))))))))))

I haven't noticed the noise, all the other cleaners are very noisy anyway.
To move air makes noise usually, to beat the carpets and floor usually makes noise, i would be very suspect about a silent vacuum cleaner because i would wonder how it was cleaning.

I wouldn't think you get better service however you bought the product, it has a 2 year guarantee and if you look at the web site it has any parts that you may need if they aren't under guarantee.

The small hand held one may be fine for you but my O/H couldn't hold it or use it with her arthritis.

There seems to be quite a bit of "lost" space behind and around the summer houses etc. Would it be be better to put them against the fence?

Where does the "extra" (swiped) bit of the garden start and end?

Do you remember the old "dustbusters"? They were pretty heavy. When Dour sensible boy was three him and his friend "abandoned George" had one each and they used them for space pistols, painting and hunting down flies. They were enthralled with them. (the flies less so)

I was reading reviews from people who had bought it through Amazon who had had servicing problems.

Our hand-held Dyson is annoyingly noisy.

Hi Honey.:+))))))))))))
The lost space is a blue slate path about 80cm (800mm) wide so i can work on the fence or paint the back of the building, when you trap anything against a fence etc it's not really a good idea.
I want a path all round and between the buildings and tubs and raised beds, i've tried to unclutter the area and reckon it will take 13 tonne of slate.

The decking is about 50 square metres but at the old place i made 70 square metres.
I'll make the decking up in the sections shown because it is so easy, i use brackets (joist hangers) to fasten the joists to the end sections.

The left hand edge of the garage on the plant Layout is the divider, to the left is the decking around the side of the back of the house.
Deck-1 starts at the double French doors of the Lounge, Deck-3 is outside the kitchen utility room.

I don't know anything about servicing problems but i'm sure it wouldn't matter were you bought it from, all goods are sold from retail outlets, they wouldn't sell many if everyone had to go to their site would they?

One of these. They still make them but they are a bit lighter nowadays. My friend who chastised me for putting "common" bananas in trifle would ACTUALLY hoover the table with it while people were eating. I badly wanted to punch her.

You would think so.

There are dozens of ways a manufacturer can get away with not servicing something under guarantee.
I think you have the best chance by buying either the very cheapest and slinging it when it breaks or getting the very very best that wont go wrong. Dont bother with the inbetweens.

It looks heavy and not easy to use with one hand.

Whats wrong with Banana's?

It seems people got a satisfactory result eventually and I’m sure if you buy from a shop there’s no problem – but the problems seemed to be the necessity to make many more phone calls if you bought on-line from somewhere other then GTech. Probably just an Amazon problem.
