Hello all

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to stop an obstinate small dog from licking her front leg so hard it now has a sore on it, and then rubbing the leg into her one remaining eye, that had to have a £2000 operation on it last year? The two are deffo interconnected, and if she carries on like this her visual future will be bleak...

I tried bandaging her whole leg with a veterinary bandage bought online, and it stained her leg blue and fell off I can't put anything nasty tasting on her leg (it's a bit late for that now anyway) as she will probably rub it into her eye...

Last night I carefully bandaged the whole leg with a cohesive bandage for humans and by this morning the bandage was still in place BUT her poor little foot, er paw!!! was swollen. I felt just AWFUL!!

I think I will have to try the cohesive bandage again, but use less of it...

My saga at the v e t's continues - I took Amy-Louise for review yesterday, and she is still lactating... The stuff she is on costs £22 per 5ml bottle, but at least she is insured.
Your dogs sure keep you on your toes Moots! The cohesive bandage but less sounds a reasonable compromise anyway. As for Amy-Louise at £22 a bottle you certainly do need the insurance !

Why torture chamber, Honey?!!

When I was in hospital, although I had totally lost my appetite, the portions were so tiny that I actually felt hungry!

Funny peculiar or funny haha Hicky? I would probably opt for both...

overweight is better than obese Gemo...

Nice summer house! I suspect you are rushing to do as much as possible before your op, not so Hicky?
Hi Moots,:+)))))))))))))))))

Do you know why the dog is licking it's leg, it must have a very good reason, it must need to lick it, if you stop it it is going to cause it a lot of stress i would have thought.

You had probably cut the blood supply off, same as having a tourniquet on.

I thought it funny you were mentioning a chilli pepper that wasn't part of the meal made with the Rendang paste, it was just added later to taste.

You are right, even being laid up for a few days will be very frustrating, there is so much to do.

That Summer House looks great, and i think thats not a bad price for one that size!
Hi Barra.:+))))))))))))))))))

I'm very pleased with that site, as you say, it is a good price for that size, that i big summerhouse, may be able to use it as a workshop.

There is snow forecast for most of the area in Scotland and other areas that are high level.
I think we'll mainly get rain.

In my place rain and snow are about equal, i need the ground dry like we had a couple of weeks ago.
I'm at the stage to dig some trenches and fill with pea stone for drainage.
I have a cut up tree that needs cutting into smaller bits and burning.
I need weed matting put down and fastened.

The place is like a mud bath at the mo, very annoying.

hello all
on this cold wet, and (let's face it) dismal day.

Hicky, Madame Blossom Mootle started off in her youth rubbing her eye and then licking her paw to get the salty taste. In time, and also because chihuahuas tend to have dry eyes, this damaged the conjunctival lining of her eye, which needed the operation, which was a miracle in itself, all being done under a dissecting microscope..

I have to put ointment on her eyelid every night, and I think she has now started rubbing this off.

I put a wandering apsotrophe in chihuahuas - just noticed it in time, phew!!

’d evening.

Has anybody been watching Get Your Act Together? Does anyone like it.

Mr G and I have just been staring at the telly saying ‘what do people see in this?’

Update on garden nightmare.

Fence now almost completed around the bottom of the garden.
6 Panels on the left side after the garage, 6 panels along the back and 3 panels bottom right.
Another 9 panels to be installed to the right to complete the back garden.

My Raised bed timber comes Monday, one of the summer houses comes Tuesday, the week after 2nd Mar. the 3 x 3m Gazebo comes then the next day the 3 x 3m Summerhouse comes.

Just a thought, in case any of you are contemplating buying any goods for your garden this year.
This site really apart from the rest.
I don't really like advertising but this site is well worth spending a couple of hours looking through the difference sections along the top.
This if the 10ft x 10ft Summer House i selected, with the extra floor and shelving all round.

Gosh that‘s a bargain. Our very ordinary chicken shed cost us about £300 seven years ago.

Evening Gemo, evening all.

I caught a snippet of it while looking for something else, I wasn't tempted to watch! There are quite a few celebs - I can only think of Phil Tuffnel off the top of my head, who appear to do every TV programme going, whenever they want 'celebs'. I suppose you could say that it's only like an actor taking on different roles, either because they enjoy what they're doing, or they need the cash! They have pay the bills just as we do, but it's rare than these offerings grip me - says the woman who watched weeks of CBB and enjoyed very little of it

I just popped in to check I hadn't missed your op Hicky - very good news that OH read the letter, you'd have been well pigged off arriving at the wrong place! Excellent price on that 'shed' I'd say - we've been looking at various sheds, workshops and chicken sheds and I'd say that's good value.

Sorry to hear about your canine worries Moots, the cohesive bandage but less tight, sounds the best option to me.

Who is torturing you Honey?? You haven't taken your CL to see Fifty Shades, have you?!

No I haven't....

Has anyone been watchin Death in Paradise? That little green lizard is a very fine actor, and I think he should have his own show. I loved it when he nearly ate the foreign beetle! - method acting at its' best!

Hi Gemo, saw some, pointless it seemed, it's like jobs for the boys.

Hi Gemo, O/H came across the site, it looks a very comprehensive selection of building and sizes.

Evening Gemo, evening all.

Hi JoJo, A while to go yet, not my decision though.

Never dreamt that they had swapped hospitals after giving me a choice to start with, the funny thing is, it's the same surgeon whichever one you choose, i think.

Yes, it's a bit summer house for the price.

Good morning you lot.

I watch Death in Paradise. I preferred Ben Miller to Kris Martin as the problem solver but I still enjoy it. It’s filmed on Guadeloupe. I haven’t been there – yet.

I don’t reckon it will be recommissioned – and the serial winner won it, and the announced the release of his new album, and then the split from his wife.

A review of the show.

No chicken sheds, though. I checked – and we don’t need another one, the one we bought is still doing fine.

I agree, it's a one off, i like good new talent but, changing someone's talent isn't interesting.

The bottom link to The Voice link doesn't do that any favours either.

I suppose chicken sheds come under a different category.
I love chickens but O/H won't have any.

Hello all

I am mystified by some of the decisions made in The Voice, and I usually give up on it in disgust. Maybe it will improve once the live auditions are over...

Is anyone watching Gogglebox? I always watch it with the subtitles on, and at one point there was some dialogue from Wolf Hall in which the horrible c word was mentioned rather graphically. The subtitles actually stuttered on the adjective before the c word, before adding an r after the c, which made quite a sweet little word, which for some reason wasn't corrected.

I did see Gogglebox and the bit about Wolf Hall – something I have recorded but not watched, I think it may just be wiped.

Evening all - I've recorded Gogglebox and only watched a bit of it - haven't got to the Wolf Hall part. I've read the book though and I rarely like watching an adaptation - although |Harry Potter was an exception!

We used to watch Death in Paradise with Ben Miller but haven't watched the new one.

Very windy here tonight, there's a gate banging somewhere which is really annoying me

Naturally the Googgleboxers were all rather shocked by the c word as was I, well I would have been if the subtitles hadn't been so hilarious!
