Hicky, Madame Blossom Mootle started off in her youth rubbing her eye and then licking her paw to get the salty taste. In time, and also because chihuahuas tend to have dry eyes, this damaged the conjunctival lining of her eye, which needed the operation, which was a miracle in itself, all being done under a dissecting microscope..

I have to put ointment on her eyelid every night, and I think she has now started rubbing this off.



I put a wandering apsotrophe in chihuahuas - just noticed it in time, phew!!

I watch Death in Paradise. I preferred Ben Miller to Kris Martin as the problem solver but I still enjoy it. It’s filmed on Guadeloupe. I haven’t been there – yet.

I don’t reckon it will be recommissioned – and the serial winner won it, and the announced the release of his new album, and then the split from his wife.

I am mystified by some of the decisions made in The Voice, and I usually give up on it in disgust. Maybe it will improve once the live auditions are over...

Is anyone watching Gogglebox? I always watch it with the subtitles on, and at one point there was some dialogue from Wolf Hall in which the horrible c word was mentioned rather graphically. The subtitles actually stuttered on the adjective before the c word, before adding an r after the c, which made quite a sweet little word, which for some reason wasn't corrected.

I did see Gogglebox and the bit about Wolf Hall – something I have recorded but not watched, I think it may just be wiped.

Evening all - I've recorded Gogglebox and only watched a bit of it - haven't got to the Wolf Hall part. I've read the book though and I rarely like watching an adaptation - although |Harry Potter was an exception!
