Those GTech look great, we have the GTech AirRam, we love it, we need the hand held small one as well really.
we get the 40 minutes of battery usage, we can do the whole bungalow on quarter charge.
It's so light and easy to clear the dust from, not like others we have had.

You do surprise me, thats not what i've understood, or what i read.
It does say that if they have plenty of access to grass and weeds then you are better off.

Very impressed with the K9, the Multi seems to have similar suction to the Dyson, but it is lighter, quieter and has a very useful light.

I’ve had chucks for over 20 years roaming round the garden and they have never been a problem with flowers or veg when I grew them – raspberries and red currants, well, that’s a different story.

It's that Multi we fancy, O/H would want the attachment for the car cleaning as well.

I suppose the chucks had enough greens without attacking your crops, it must be when they are deprived of the grass and weeds that they go for the next best green food.

Probably, we have quite a large lawn.

Edit: just had a look to see what they’re up to – they’re hanging round under the bird feeders. Not quite with their beaks open, but close.

The birds make an awful mess feeding, they flick 50% at least off the feeder.
I used to nice half the birds just stayed on the floor as it was less effort.
And the Pigeons cleared up any leftovers.

Hi Barra.:+))))))))))))))))

Yes, i read that he died, only 83 as well, a very distinctive actor, Spock sure stood out.
Had no idea he had reached that age.
Always sad when anyone dies, he will be missed by so many.

Oh, such sad news. I'm a huge Star Trek fan. I adored his man and the character he helped to create. Deepest sympathies to his loved ones. RIP.

Lesley, I'm so sorry for the loss of David. Although 89 was a very good age, his passing must still have left a great hole in your life.
You must have been very proud of him and his achievements....

RIP David

Hello all, just passing through...

very busy week with hospital appointments, dental appointments, Amy-Louise being spayed at last (yesterday) etc etc! Also clearing out the soon to be carpeted rooms and then hunting fruitlessly for things that have been displaced in the great tidy up, and tripping over stuff that is camping out away from the lounge temporarily......

Honey, I just meant to have the floorboards until the fitters bring the carpets.

I would love to keep chickens ! At the moment I am cherishing and nurturing 2 robins who are getting quite tame, especially when they want their dried meal worms! I thought robins were very territorial but these 2 are both males and seem to be getting on very well!

I bet you don't let animals into the carpeted rooms, do you?

We don't have carpets and we don't have animals, these laminate floors are so easy to clean.

We used to have carpets when the children were small, a bad move, we must have been mad.

I hope Amy-Louise is recovering well. Was it awful? Pippin is having her op on Friday and I feel sick at the thought of it.
I would love to have hens too, but we already have a lot of foxes so it might not be safe.

The point of carpets is so it is nice and comfy underfoot for the pets.

Except you can lift up the boards if you use steam, and you cant soak them.

You can either have a nice house and lots of money or you can have children and pets. One or the other!

Never heard that one before.

You don't need steam on Laminate as it doesn't absorb liquids, but if i had animals i would have waterproof flooring anyway.

One of my lads had a cat once and when he left the place he was staying they had to destroy all the carpets in the house and still couldn't get rid of the smell.

Animals should be outside then the children can live in a nice clean house that doesn't stink of animals, mind you the occupants probably get used to the smell, just the visitors that notice, but they wouldn't say anything.
Isn't it unhygienic for young children?

No, the very opposite funnily enough. It is better for children physically and mentally to have pets. (despite all the bottom licking and dog hair in cake)

I think most children dont give a hoot how clean or swish the house is and would prefer a pet, but i think pets should only be for those who love and want them desperately.

I am too polite to say anything about those vile febrezey air freshener things people have, and i expect them to shut up about the truly awful honk of my cats and dogs.

Come to think of it, why is it always the houses where people clean all day long, and have no pets or raucous children that use the air fresheners the most? They should have the least need for them!
