I finally got to listen to the albums of Lucy Kaye (BGT) and Jonathan Antoine (also BGT). I thought both were very good, although Jonathan had too many Neapolitan type songs, which I loathe, and not enough opera.

I think she is probably called Emilia at home rather than Carmen, because i have a feeling that if she was Carmen and wanted to be known as Emilia on TV Victor would have gone out of his way to call her Carmen.
Emily is not so far from Emilia.

much much better! Apart from the grotty Neapolitan repertoire that is. If he is this good at such a young age, I hope i am still around to hear him when he reaches his prime in 10 years or so!
I also have Charlotte's album, and her voice has also developed well - she is much better on her own too. I had put her down as musical theatre material, but I think she could also do light opera.
I thought Lucy had also come on amazingly since BGT - what a pity she had to first present with the archetypal sob story about "bullying", though. It seems to be a prerequisite for everyone who has a classically trained voice (yawning rolly eyed smilie).
