Hi, have been given a sky+ box.
I already have multi room subscription, with the basic box.
Is there a way to switch them so I can record on the + box without having to pay any extra?
Thank you for any info/help in advance

Yes. Replace the Sky box with the Sky+ box. Phone Sky to pair the card with the new box - and ask them to enable Sky+ functionality on the new card. If you want to be able to record two channels simultaneously, or record one channel while watching another, you'll need a second cable running from the Sky dish to the new Sky+ box.

There will be at least one cable going to the multi room box. If you want full functionality of the Sky+ box there needs to be a second identical cable run in. It will be exactly like the Sky+ box you already have in the living room.

So if you only have one cable going to the multi room box you can still use the + box but will be limited as to what combinations of channels you can watch and record at the same time.

No, sky don't use engineers. He/she was an installer.

Doesn't matter if they have doctorates in something unconnected, they are still only installers

...but if they have an engineering degree ?
They may be employed as installers, but they are actually engineers.

The chances are rather slim

And in any case, not relevant to their job as an installer.
