I've been very tired from work recently...which is my lame excuse for totally missing this....

She only went and performed Honeymoon A cappella live :

Lana posts yet another snippet of Honeymoon:
http://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertai...her-new-album/

She's also shared photos of her working in the studio with long time collaborator Rick Nowels and engineer Kieran Menzies who are both credited as producers. That shows its not just going to be the Mark Ronson show-which seemed to set alarm bells ringing with some people on these boards that she was dumbing down when he was annouced as the main producer.

Judging by what we've heard of Honeymoon itself I don't think Lana is in any way compromising her sound down for this album. It still sounds deep, dark, yet smooth & beautiful like a glorious Hollywood Sunset. She said it would have a noirish 50's orchestral vibe going on and I can see what she means by that comment now.

I like how she keeps reinventing herself. It’s typically her but different again to the Born to Die or Ultraviolence sound.

Agree with you she has the ability to make entirely different atmospheric and haunting music that nobody else can. I love the fact she deeply cares about the music she makes and isn't all about the cash ala Rita Ora.

Do you think we will get a UK tour next year? I hope we will. She was great when I saw her.

European tour next year? All I say is the one thing I’ve learnt with Lana is literally anything can happen, we’ll see, but it sounds like a fair estimation to me. At the astonishing Prince like pace she works at she might be back in the studio making yet another album by then!

Well you never know she might surprise us, but as she's finishing the album at the moment and will be promoting it in the Autumn months I'm guessing there wont be much time for further touring this year. Maybe she'll play the iTunes festival again towards the back end of the year?

I just want her to get the album right. Its sounding great so far.

There is a great recording from a show she did two weeks ago. The person who shot it was right at the front.

Its sounding fab so far and looks like a good mix of songs. Just going from what I was saying on the other thread on here I would say lets hear the whole album before drawing conclusions. Looking across the web people in general people just seem to be reacting to whatever the last song was and saying that will be THE sound of the album, but I think its will be a typical Del Rey mix of different genres, done Lana style of course.

Lana is one of the last true album artists and to me its about the collective whole of the album.

Gonna assume that a few of those are going to be bonus/deluxe tracks because 14 seems a bit heavy for an album in my opinion. 10-12 songs is optimum for me.

It's Lana. It's an album. If previous offerings are anything to go by it WILL be fantastic, no matter 'genre' it turns out to be. Relax.....

I can't wait for the album! I love High By The Beach, I keep listening to it and watching the brilliant video. Lana is one of the best artists around today and for years. Love her!

I don't think 14 tracks is heavy for an album at all. It's a nice number.

14 tracks seem pretty standard these days.

I love Lana and can't wait for Honeymoon, but I'm just not feeling Terrence Loves You.

It just feels like too much to me. I know that modern albums tend to be longer than previous eras but I think that's made them weaker rather than stronger. Sales have dipped so the idea seems to be that you load the record up to make it seem like good value or whatever but I think dilutes them because, rather than having 10-12 really fit together thematically as a coherent record, lots of filler makes its way through.

Maybe it's just my bias because almost all of my favourite albums are around 45 minutes.

i am still so surprised that no unreleased album has been released?

There is such diversity in her songs.

This album is sounding a little 'ultraviolence' derivative for me and too similar - based on Honeymoon, high by the beach and terence loves you. Hopefully there is greater diversity on the other tracks.

I get the strong impression Lana feels very violated her songs were stolen I think she wants to forget they exist and concentrates on making new music.

i don't like terrence loves you at all, although it took high by the beach a few listens for me to like it. from what i've heard so far i think this will be my least favourite lana album so far, including aka lana del ray and her unreleased may jailer demo album.

I dont like any of the tracks I've heard from this album, which is a shame as I've adored everything she's done before this.

I adore the title track, and really like High By The Beach so I'm still very excited.

Terrence Loves You, though, is my least favourite Lana song I've heard thus far during her career. I don't "get" it, I guess.

She needs to wise up, put them on an album, release it and at least make some money out of them.

Also, just tweeted is the cover of the vinyl special edition. Very 70s.

Not every artist is obsessed with making money. If Lana doesn't feel the songs are worthy why should she release them? Her artistic integrity is one of the things I admire the most about her.
