Don't get me wrong, I adore Panasonic, at Xmas I treated myself to a Panny 50" smart 3D , second hand at £350 I thought was a bargain, have completely fallen in love with Netflix , using it all the time,

love it so much I thought I would get an Ethernet feed to my Panny Blu ray smart recorder upstairs, and after taking time to wire it in like a pro gues what ?

No Netflix on the Smart Blu way recorder ?

WHY?

Do Panny have different servers for all of their smart units, bad show chaps, I have heard your smart units lacked content but don't tease the consumer with good content on one smart unit and naff all on the other

I shall write to the Times.

Different products have different capabilities - and no one seems to know how these kind of things are arranged, does Panasonic have to pay the broadcasters/suppliers for providing their services?. Do the broadcasters/suppliers have to pay Panasonic to be included on their equipment?. Or does nobody pay anyone?.

But certainly if the BD Player is an older model, it's unlikely to have Netflix - as it's a more recent addition to many IPTV options.

Sounds like a video sender may be in order...

Video sender ? Oh no no, I know the TV will have a signal out feed through those horrible dated scarts, but the one thing I like about Netflix it's all HD and 5.1. Probably cheaper to buy something like Google Chromecast or whatever HDMI device I can buy which carries Netflix

I've got a Panasonic bluray which has a dedicated Netflix button on the remote. TBH its actually a pain in the arse as its far too close to other function buttons

That's what is wrong, I have 2 Panasonic Blu Ray recorders, all of them "smart" but they are all different with the smart interfaces !! I don't get that, Iran if I bought a 15 year old laptop , I would still be able to access all of the web, so why do Panny machines all point to different servers, it's nonsense .
