The only hope they've got with Stars in Their Eyes is the 'so bad it's good' brigade take it to their hearts and embrace the madness. Or people keep watching to see if it gets any worse. There will be some who enjoyed it but enough to keep it sustainable?

TV burp is trending
Only thing worse would have been putting Philip Mr ITV as host.
I totally get the format needed revamping but Belo Appeared, a creepy ventriloquist Doll. We just need Amanda Lamb and the male nuns and "heather" and its complete.

the actual title of the show took 2nd place to Harry Hill showing everyone how funny he still is. The people getting the transformation and the smoky doors just didn't matter it was a completely wasted reboot.

Agreed.
Mind you Paddy (forgot his last name) from take me out and Keith Lemon would be no,no's for me too. All 3 are terrible yet loved by ITV.

Seen no reason to change my prediction for TVUK - 6.7m average, having soared to 7.5m+ after the head-to-head. SITE 5.2m.

To be fair, I think Keith Lemon works well on Celebrity Juice. I think they were trying to do to Stars in Their Eyes what they did to Through the Keyhole except Lemon didn't take over Through the Keyhole (well... not to the same extent; he at least complimented what the show was trying to do). Hill dominated Stars in Their Eyes to it's detriment.

I dunno they seemed to enjoy themselves a lot more tonight then in past episodes. I disagree tbh
It does well on social media and it's ratings have been decent.
The Voice to me seemed to really hit its stride, a lot of good chemistry in the cast, some genuine great stories and interesting competition. Very entertaining and feel good television for January! Its refreshed itself, and Rita Ora really was a surprise. Wonder how well it will do, that was a strong start! Seemed to speed through!

I suppose tonight it may have people tuning in during the programme out of curiosity. So unimpressed viewers drifting away from it may get replaced by new ones.

But...if it's still above 4m next week, I'd be completely and utterly stunned. It's doomed IMO.

Anyone know what Channel 5 are showing in the 9pm and 11pm slots now that CBB has been moved to 10pm?

Win Your Wish List pointedly introduced as something that was "recorded before recent events in France". Uh-oh.

I don't recall such a warning being given out before Would I Lie To You, so intrigued to know what that is about. Not intrigued enough to sit through it though

I agree, It's similar to Strictly in the sense it's ''Feel good''
It's nice to have something decent on a Saturday in January

Could rate well with the Snow and Bad winds in the North of England and Scotland tonight.

So...stars in their eyes...wow. Caught the Rihanna and Eminem acts. They were certainly...er...interesting. Are the acts meant to be part of the comedy routine too?

While there is a chance that SITE may have started with a reasonable audience, I suspect it will have bled viewers rapidly.

The Voice got off to a great start tonight I feel. Rita also in my opinion came across very well. Plus am not sure if am the only one that noticed this, but it seemed to be a lot better edited as well which helped the show fly past.

Celebrity Wedding Planner (R) at 9pm.

The planned screening of Mr. and Mrs. Smith still goes ahead, but at the later time of 11pm, with Supercasino's slot cut short.

Disagree. Each of the series two and series three premieres saw a step-up in production values but it just felt exactly the same to me tonight, it's no longer fresh or exciting. Will stick with it for a bit though.

I think it was a confident opening episode. Rita added more than Kylie, can't quite believe I'm saying that, but her interaction with the contestants was actually genuinely quite moving! Nothing like what I expected from this opener. Whether the figures reflect that who knows, but there's some great contestants in the first episode! Thought the editing was better, it moved at a quicker pace but could be because of the new judge and the pace will slow again next week. Really good show from the production team. Feel good stuff.

I disagree. It was generally a more entertainig show then both past series openers.

If there's something French related couldn't they have swapped it with another episode and aired this one at another time?

Confirmed on ITV (bizarrely during Take Me Out... because the two shows have a natural crossover...) that Mr. Selfridge is returning this month.

Still won't stop the Daily Mail complains about it with a full page spread tomorrow. One prize is in Paris.

I fully agree a great, well produced show tonight with a great level of singers and lots of emotion, Rita did well, even the nice touch of writing a letter to that boy.

I can't recall the woman's name but the young girl working as a usherette in the West End that was a Susan Boyle moment from BGT, her voice!!! Wowsers.

Absolutely they could and should have, whatever the problem is it can't be that serious if they went ahead with airing the episode. And yet it was deemed serious enough to dish out a warning

EDIT: A prize of a trip to France isn't anything like serious enough for the episode to have been postponed. Sounds like the warning was just the Beeb insuring themselves ahead of a rollocking in the Mail
