How will Call the Midwife do on it's return? Will Broadchurch, The Voice and Stars in Their Eyes see increases, falls or steadiness for their second episodes? Will Ipswich v Southampton be a match of the day for BBC One? How will Suspects do for it's series premiere? Will Get Your Act Together help ITV do just that?

The quote rzt posted about Thunderbirds was from ITV Media, and contained details of sponsorship packages specifically referring to morning slots simulcast on ITV and CITV. Unless there's been an egregious error I think we can rely on it. As has been said, though, there's nothing to stop ITV running repeats later in the year in teatime slots.

It's not unheard of for children's programmes to be heavily promoted on main channels. A CBeebies show was plugged in BBC One primetime quite a lot last year (The Furchester Hotel ).

On a related note I see that CITV is being simulcast until 09:25 on ITV weekend mornings again, after the disappointing performance of adult-focused programmes which ITV had been experimenting with from 08:25. Presumably Thunderbirds will be getting a good slot, say 08:55 on Saturdays or Sundays? (As they're 30-minute episodes).

If this CBB episode aired on any day but Saturday, it would have gotten 3m+. I reckon sadly its only around 2.0m tonight... which would be very good for a Sat anyway.

It wouldn't surprise me if Thunderbirds' first episode debuts in primetime on ITV with first look episodes on Saturday or Sunday Mornings on CITV with perhaps a repeat at 5.30pm or 6pm on ITV Saturday Evenings. ITV must be happy with the first 26 episodes since they've already ordered a second series and ITV Studios has already sold it worldwide.

CITV Saturday Mornings isn't actually a bad slot for it much as a primetime slot is preferred because CITV already shows animated action shows like Ben 10 and Hulk and the Agents of SMASH and the target audience for Thunderbirds are up at that time anyway plus it'll be likely repeated in a 5pm slot on CITV as well.

i reckon this series will be the highest rated series on channel 5 so far, im gonna say tonight's got 2.4 million it seems high but there was some promotion including an advert.

One might have expected ITV Media to be telling potential sponsors about these more-valuable and more-prominent ITV slots though, if they were planning to use them.

Each night's episode is always trailed on air after 6:30 during C5 programmes, so nothing new there.

Tomorrow's MTV edit is going to be short isn't it? At least when they were a music channel they could have filled the remainder of the hour with music videos !

the trailer was shown online and facebook, there was also a lot of hype in the media and it became one of the top trending topics in the uk this afternoon when it was announced.

Vile might be a tad harsh - that'll be last night's drink talking which lead to a more heated opinion!

As I say I do watch launches and odd episodes here and there. I can find enjoyment in it. And it obviously has its place on TV. Last night was far from entertainment though. I am stunned how unlikeable so many housemates are this year too.

It will obviously get a boost anyway for normal Saturdays

Some fun ratings today!

Hasn't somebody been kicked off CBB for groping one of the females - I thought that was the whole point of the programme

Seems on CH5 it's anything for ratings. Contestants need to be pre vetted.

#TheVoiceUK returns with peak of 9.2 million and average of 8 million on #BBC1 last night

Sam Hodges ‏@Sam_Hodges 25s25 seconds ago
#TheVoiceUK kicks off with an average of 8m - more than double the audience of any show in the same slot.

Sounds like Stars in Their Eyes bombed.

From @tvratingsuk #StarsInTheirEyes - 3.68m/16.5%

That's not too bad against The Voice. I do reckon though it will continue to drop as the weeks go on.

Excellent start for The Voice.

Also look at Now You See It - almost as big a share as Pointless. Didn't see that coming !

Eek, that's a really poor start if you ask me.

And the only way is down from here given the reaction.

Star In Their Eyes confirmed as a turkey then. It'll be below three million in a couple of weeks.

Surprisingly good for the voice, obviously still a bit down but nothing to cause concern really.

I hated it. It was a mix of TV Burp and Stars in Their Eyes - just didn't work. Figure wise it could have been better, could have been worse, but i do feel it will drop over the weeks and eventually moved.
