Reasonable for Corrie and it appears (as usual) the holiday period has ended and EE has lost it's usual Christmas/New Year momentum. Emmerdale recorded it's second best rating of the week (just behind Monday's) episode which is quite surprising.
Benidorm did OK. I think it settled around this level last series too - although how it will cope next week with the Garvey family missing is anyone's guess. |

Everyone mentioning Splash which collapsed towards the end but was 5-6m for its first series. SITE might not make that.

In respect of consolidated figures-did we ever get New Years Eve finals? (Especially the concert and fireworks)

No idea what's that to do with my post you quoted 😊 but I did indeed watch it and I enjoyed it. Though sadly next week I will be watching SW and recording BC.
Why sadly? Surely that's your choice. If its that sad record SW and watch BC? |

CBB has been pushed back to 10pm tonight due to an explosive event and exit. No one knows what happens, but the assumption is that Jeremy has had a breakdown and exited the house.

Thanks for those figures Neil - not bad for Stars In Their Eyes but not great either since it was 10 years ago and those are consolidated. You can see why it was taken off especially since Dancing on Ice would arrive the following year.
This new version might not be far off the old version in the officials. Let's see though - I think it will settle around 4-4.5m and would that be bad really against The Voice? |

Its got nothing to do with the post I quoted I just used it to ask you a question. I just asked because i was interested to see if you saw it and you usually write on here when you enjoy a drama. That is all.
Why sadly? Surely that's your choice. If its that sad record SW and watch BC? |

Also bad to lose anybody this early. After a promising start, are things falling apart as happened with the last series of I'm A Celeb? |

Broadly agree on TVUK but I could see SITE doing a good deal more than that.

D.M.N. reported the fireworks: 12.50m officially. rzt in his spreadsheet gave Mapp and Lucia's finale rating as 2.95m officially.
EDIT: The reported overnight was 12.32 million iirc-I know there are some addings and takings away but that's not much of a timeshift. |

Here are those Challenge ratings. A number of episodes were screened back-to-back on the evening of December 27, to above average viewing figures for the channel:
Code:
1 STARS IN THEIR EYES (SAT 1930) 174,000 3 STARS IN THEIR EYES (SAT 2000) 159,000 5 STARS IN THEIR EYES (SAT 1901) 153,000 7 STARS IN THEIR EYES (SAT 2030) 133,000 ... +1 STARS IN THEIR EYES (SAT 2130) 38,000 |

However, the finale of Doctor Who 'only' rated at 0.4 overnight for the channel (65th in the daily chart) on Saturday 8 November 2014. It was seen by 1.10m total viewers. (Source) So it's hard to tell really from the patchy US figures we have. BBC America re-ordered it before the first season went to air, but then they are co-producing it (along with BBC Worldwide and BBC in-house). The second season premieres Stateside next Saturday. |

Those 10 year ago ratings look very good for a few shows, especially SITE, but then again, would just under 6m be considered good back then? It was probably a few million below average in 2005.
Look at Casualty, a monster! Just under 3m ahead of the next highest! Now its Casualty itself which generally gets the 9pm slot |

BBC One's opposition was the dire Richard Hammond's Secret Service, so even if ITV put on Nightscreen, it would do better than that disaster. Splash was a so so show you'd watch as the alternative was so bad, but once it faced TV it fell to 3 million. SITE at least was a successful brand for most of its life and could pull in 4-5 million, which is enough to damage TV. Also should it keep up this rating, then I would think a summer run would be a good idea.
