The Battles are usually just one big shouting match, aren't they?

Anyway, as others have said, SNT was great tonight. Deserves to be ahead of The Voice IMO.

I am watching The Voice right now ( recorded it )it is slicker this year and difficult to pick a winner as they are all good but there is a lot of talking and rehersals that could be cut out

Both SNT and TVUK have problems, TVUK is still a bit boring/Flat and they need to get rid of Tom but Rita is actually pretty good. SNT is becoming the 'promote anything ITV in anyway we can' show and they seem to have the same guests every year and it is becoming a bit samey

The presenter bloke who kept saying ''Make some noise'' was intensely irritating and sounded quite desperate at times. It needed much tighter editing.

Well let's just say that both channels are showing good TV tonight.

However the fact is icedragon and ADP, while you criticise others for not watching TVUK and not giving it a chance, you both would not watch And & Dec Takeaway even if BBC1 were showing a black screen. If fact it seems neither of you watch much TV away from the BBC at all?

Well apart from Richard Madley and Simon Callow. I know McBusted were but as the guest performer, this year they were the announcers.

Yeah and Richard and Simon were the best parts of the show tonight, they need people who are not with ITV or under Simon Cowell or it will become boring, like next week Jeremy Kyle is back again
Also you can't deny the show is becoming a prop for ITV to promote its other shows + formats like The Chase skit tonight

I do agree in that respect. It keeps it fresh.

First half of The Voice was tiresome tonight. Poor singers in general. Far better Battle Rounds towards the end though. Great Saturday Night Takeaway though with a very entertaining 'End Of The Show' show.

I didn't realise there was anyone who worked for ITV and had no connection with Cowell ? I thought he ran the network.

Moving away from 'my show is better than your show' p*ssing contest for a moment...

I'm catching up with Get Your Act Together from last week - I have to agree with the poster who said it should have been live from the off. It's so much better. I think it has potential but as a 'secondary' show rather than try to kick start a schedule; saying that if they had aired every episode live it would have probably performed better opposite The Voice UK than Stars in Their Eyes did.

Now your getting it !!

Seriously though as someone who does not watch either of the entertainment shows it is a bit funny seeing the p*****g contest. You are right about one thing though nothing would make me watch either show - ever !!!

It could've been a good enough show for Summer Saturday's, but not Winter evening schedule kick starter.

But I hope for a good schedules sake, tomorrow ITV schedule does well, since it has a good line-up of programmes that realistically should be aiming for 4m+.

Wait a minute am not criticising others for not watching the Voice. I just simple said they should try the battle rounds this year as it's better edited. Plus I won't watch Ant and Dec not coz there on itv, but just coz am not a big fan of them.

I think the shows will get just over 3m. I'll be amazed if any of them hit 4m. While The Chase: Celebrity Special - Off Their Rockers - All Star Family Fortunes - Mr. Selfridge looks much better on paper it still has a lot to handle from BBC One and BBC Two especially.

Besides mentioning it on the football coverage during the week, has there been any on-screen trails on ITV during the week for tonight's Carl Frampton world title boxing fight? It seems to have gone under the radar a little bit considering it's ITV's first Saturday night boxing fight in quite a few years. Would've thought they'd make a bigger deal about it given sporting rights are becoming more and more difficult to pick up for the terrestrial channels.

I hope Frampton-Avalos does great numbers because that was an epic beat down from Frampton!

Or we could say both are showing mindless rubbish, but that's pretty much what they do on Saturday nights forever.

Saying that, I don't think many people would want to watch Schindler's List followed by a feature length Panorama on a Saturday evening.

A new week and three dramas appear on the schedules with Arthur & George, DCI Banks and Poldark gracing our screens - but how will they rate? How many with watch Crimewatch? Will Exposure get exposure in an earlier slot? Could Banished banish the viewers or draw them in for BBC Two and will Nelson: In His Own Words attract an audience? We could all end up barking up the wrong tree with this year's Crufts... or with The Nations Favourite 70s Number One.
