What was the ratings for the boxing on ITV last night?

All things considered terrific for The Voice. Whatever your views on the talent, last night was the best presentation and format for Battles I have seen. For me it didn't drag, which it has done in the past.

Up on last week and not a bad average for a two-hour battle show, with the Geordie twosome having a headstart. I guess having nearly an hour after A&D finished bolstered the figure.

Be patient; there are few with ratings access these days.

Very good for The Voice - up 0.2m on last year.

Wonder what Takeaway got.

Indeed, the 8.25-9.15pm period probably helped a lot. A strong teatime inheritance from the rugby may have helped too. The head to head figures with Takeaway would be interesting.

There does seem to have been some kind of clampdown for some reason.

Yay so happy for the Voice as others have said the Battles seemed a lot better paced this year. Plus it's up on last week and up a little on last year 😊

#AntandDecsSaturdayNightTakeaway was the second most watched programme yesterday with 6.2m, down slightly (300k) on last week.

Well that's a good enough figure for TVUK Battle Rounds, but the 50minutes without Takeaway against it, I imagine inflated the average quite a bit. Probably around 6.1/3m against Takeaway rising to 7m+ after it finished.

Yes my access went last Friday. Don't fully understand why, but reading between the lines I think they wanted to promote their service more through the overnights.tv Twitter account, and they felt @tvratingsuk was detrimental to that. Disappointing!

Thanks. Slightly surprised it dipped week on week when last year it went up but then again The Voice went up week on week this time.

Still a decent rating for Takeaway though and presumably slightly higher with tapechecking.

Everything feels better about The Voice this year - but mainly the talent - I just felt they have got some really good acts this year and actually agreed, for once, with every judges decision. TMO is weak opposition and the Beeb should probably look at starting a bit later.

Shame it was down, but should rise back up again next week with the strength of the episode last night. However its miles better than what ITV have had recently so I would think they are pleased with its performance, particularly when we thought it would be below 6m last week.

Would be around 6.6/6.7m excl adverts.

A&D falling so people switching off albeit in small amounts, so they didn't dent TVUK I see various excuses like the average post ST boosted TVUK but doesn't seem that way and why watch the last 40 mins of a two hour show only.

That's a shame, I'm sorry to hear that ronant. If it's any consolation I think you do a far better job with @tvratingsuk than they do with the overnights.tv account, which hasn't even updated at all this morning.

Well of course the portion airing against Take Me Out (50 mins) boosted the average. The same thing happened last year so hardly an excuse!

I agree the talent is exceptionally high this year but I wouldn't move it later it's winning the slot and helping shows after it, the set 7 pm start time helps( sport allowing)

It does happen. That's why you see some programmes rise as they are on air.

It's on two hours why watch TVUK for the last 40 mins only. People are more likely to watch it then go back and watch SNT ad free later. We could say the same excuses that SNT first 15 mins were helped being against the BBC news.

Very average ratings for the Voice, typical for this stage in the 'competition'. But the BBC shills will come out in force celebrating it as usual.
I'd like Ant and Dec to be at least a million higher but I'm sure ITV are happy considering their ratings before it started.

The Voice starts at 7.30 pm next Saturday because BBC1 has the Villa v West Brom FA Cup sixth round tie; Takeaway runs 7-8.25 p.m.
