I watched the first half-hour of Gotham and it was DULL. I might catch one of the repeats but to come back after several months with something so unengaging looks set to seriously impact the remainder of the run.

To be fair, Professor Branestawn was scheduled atrociously. It wasn't a bad attempt at what it was trying to do at all, but was totally out of place at 8.30pm. I can see why they'd want to give it a second shot, preferably at 6pm or so this time.

Yeah it seemed to be relatively well received by the few that actually saw it. Scheduled in a more common sense slot it'd likely have performed better. I think it probably also suffered from being somewhat rushed to the screen first time around. It seems like a good family friendly addition to a Christmas line-up.

Dont forget we get an extra Bank Holiday this Christmas as Monday December 28th will be a Bank Holiday in lieu of Boxing Day being on a Saturday

Well they are in cahoots with BT over the FA Cup, it sounds like a pretty desperate move by BT I suspect the BBC are paying next-to-nothing for it.

That is quite funny. This Morning had 'Paul' and 'Madge' on talking about the 30 th anniversary and played some of this. Tomorrow they have Steffan Dennis taking This Morning on a tour round Pin Oak Court (Ramsey Street in the show - though a real suburban cul de sac where people live the rest of the time) showing the filming behind the scenes.

He revealed that thanks to being used on the show one of the real houses increased in value over the last couple of years from $600,000 to $900,000 - which is some compensation for having film crews there all the time I guess.

This Morning also arranged for Kylie Minogue to give them a filmed insert thanking Anne Charleston (Madge) for her help whilst being her TV mum,

In other Neighbours news, the special Stars Reunite programme which will be shown in the UK tomorrow flopped in Australia with under half a million viewers. But that's no great surprise, it was odd that Ten screened it on the main channel in the first place when the soap itself has been tucked away on sister channel Eleven for so long now.

It won't do much better over here I suspect but that's not the point of it anyway and it's showing in a more appropriate slot than was the case down under where it aired in the heart of primetime against the high flying My Kitchen Rules on Seven.

Programme sharing is nothing new. Same thing happens with election debates.
People just didn't warm to that particular programme. Put Martin Clunes in his GP suit in September, and six or seven million people will be watching.

Did you notice something very similar to Extraordinary People appearing in next week's schedule? Looks like they've dropped the branding rather than the actual commissions.

I forget it was on but it looked like BBC Four was the better choice last night judging by the reaction to it.

A number may now choose to do as I will - wait for the whole series to pop up on Netflix (who bought the global streaming rights before the first episode had aired anywhere). That might be as soon as May (when the first season ends in the States).

Good spot. I didn't have an issue with the Extraordinary People strand personally, often the docs were well made and compelling. They could have kept it and done away with the sensationalist titles altogether.

As I thought, The Ark will air Monday 30th at 8.30pm on BBC One. (I still think the original plan was for it to air Easter Monday but was brought forward to avoid a clash with Codes of a Killer.) And Eurovision's Greatest Hits will air 9.00-10.30pm on Good Friday.
