Is 4-5m enough to damage TVUK though? It held up against Takeaway getting 7m+ I seem to remember. Of course everyone is expecting TVUK to be down though.
It all depends on the other channels, if they have next to nothing on, then BBC One and ITV will dominate. I'd say 7.5 million for TV, 4.5 milion for SITE. Of course, if SITE is a disaster, then next week expect TV to climb up to 8.5 million.
At least with TV, BBC One know they have a show that can guarantee them at least 7 million viewers every Saturday and can take on SNT.

Tonight’s episode of Celebrity Big Brother has moved to the later time of 10pm on Channel 5.
This episode features explosive drama between the housemates and includes an incident that results in Jeremy Jackson being removed from the house.

It's just because they're both singing shows but obviously the similarity ends there. It's more a case of can Stars hold its own regardless of what Voice gets.

It would of course be hilarious on many levels if Stars actually won - the most damning sign yet that singing shows are tired and need resting. Not gonna happen though!

SITE heavily promoted..no megastar new coach or controversial promo that both drew in the audience last year...returning shows generally being down since this time last last year...a 1.7m decline would make this thread worth steering clear of for about a month but I see no reason to expect better. I'd be delighted with over 7m and 7.7m+ (i.e. more than Broadchurch???!) would make my year so far.
The Voice being 0.7m down year on year would make your year so far? Seems an odd attitude from someone who I think is a fan of the show.

It quite possibly will get a higher overnight than Broadchurch. The officials however...

I'm going to stick my neck out and make some predictions:

Now You See It - 3.7m
The Voice UK - 7.5m
Lottery - 5.0m
Casualty - 4.7m

Mamma Mia - 2.2m
Stars In Their Eyes - 4.7m
Take Me Out - 2.9m
Skyfall (r) - 3.2m/1.9m (part 1/part 2)

Includes +1.

CBB has been pushed back to 10pm tonight due to an explosive event and exit. No one knows what happens, but the assumption is that Jeremy has had a breakdown and exited the house.

These incidents boost ratings. Always have, always will.

First post in new thread, I noticed Big Brother had its drama today with a eviction from the house and a later time slot.

The length of time this edit is taking it's a good job it has been pushed back an hour.

Very nervous about tonight's episode. I hope the production team reacted swiftly to whatever incident has taken place resulting in Jeremy's removal.

Thanks.

EDIT: The reported overnight was 12.32 million iirc-I know there are some addings and takings away but that's not much of a timeshift.
There could be a decent pure timeshift (on NYE 2013 it was +0.64m) but there will have been many hundreds of thousands of Scots to deduct, and possible tape-checking adjustments too. We should know the pure timeshift for the NYE 2014 fireworks when next week's Broadcast mag is out.

Not sure I like the sound of that. It must be bad if it forced a schedule change - especially when they were so keen initially to keep it at 9pm this series. I hope it's nothing Ofcom worthy, that's the last thing the show needs.

Also bad to lose anybody this early. After a promising start, are things falling apart as happened with the last series of I'm A Celeb?
I'm not sure it matters too much about changing timeslot once, and on a Saturday, the weakest night. It gets it out of the way of Take Me Out as well, not that the dating show is particularly potent competition currently. I wonder if word will quickly spread and produce a great rating for CBB at 22:00?

I see they've put at 21:00 as a replacement a repeat of a Celebrity Wedding Planner CBB special from two years ago. The 21:00 hour now looks rather weak across the terrestrials (Skyfall repeat on ITV; Bad Teacher film repeat on C4; history doc on Two) - will Casualty benefit?

The drama behind Jeremy Jackson being removed the #CBB house is genuinely shocking. More on Ch5 at 10pm and in @TheSunNewspaper tomorrow.

Am I the only one who thinks Stars in their Eyes will beat the Voice tonight?

I can see The Voice being severely dented. SITE is a revival which will get a lot of interest, whilst The Voice has been around for a few years now and has the feeling of "same old, same old" plus The X Factor which does the same job has only just finished! So I can't see viewers rushing back for another serious talent competition, and would rather opt for something more light hearted.

The Voice will most likely mop up viewers when SITE has finished, but I can see ITV winning the direct head to head.

I think we could be in for a few surprises tomorrow..

Interesting commissions from ITV regarding Peter Pan and the possible 5 year arc of Beowulf. Peter Pan could easily end up on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day in two hour slots. But, I do have concerns that with Jekyll and Hyde and Beowulf, viewers might get a little fed up with the genre if they follow each other. Don't get me wrong I applaud ITV for investing in decent drama, but whilst I have high hopes for Jekyll and Hyde, I do think Beowulf might struggle a bit. However, that said, it will be a great January Saturday night schedule and something the BBC will find hard to counter should the Voice diminish a little this year.

New thread by the way! Woohoo! I can still smell the fresh paint!

It's sadly beacuse I would like to watch both live, but obviously this now won't be a choice. .
Well, it is, because Broadchurch is on ITV+1 at 10pm.

Those 10 year ago ratings look very good for a few shows, especially SITE, but then again, would just under 6m be considered good back then? It was probably a few million below average in 2005.

Look at Casualty, a monster! Just under 3m ahead of the next highest!
I'm amazed by that Casualty rating, especially as it was well into its bonkers 'Holbyoaks' phase at that point

I'll go:
TVUK 6.8m
SITE 4.6m

I shan't be watching either as I have the urge to start a new box set. Either Scandal S4 or Sons of Anarchy S7.

There are many questions on this shows future and questions on the broadcaster. Questions on mental stabilty of the contestants, Jeremy is an ex alcholic surrounded by alcohol by the programme makers, did they construct this situation to bring the ratings up? shocking, encouraging nastiness and degrading people and deliberately encouraging conflict and violence in the name of ratings for a failing format, a tasteless programme that has surely had its time now or does society get some sort of pleasure from and watching and enjoying an alcholic on a Saturday evening.

Mmm...personally I think its unlikely. I think TVUK will come out top just because its been on for three years now, was successful last year and is in the public's mind.

What I find interesting is that both TVUK and SITE both have potentially poor lead in's. The one thing that edges it for BBC1 is the news before Now You See It will undoubtedly be over 5m, which will therefore boost NYSI and therefore boost TVUK and continue throughout the night.

SITE will I think be between 4.5m and 6m. Nothing more, nothing less.
