I'm so BORED of people putting this show down. If you don't like it, don't watch it. The endless trolling about it is tedious.

Bendirom certainly did not deserve to rise last night as I didn't even laugh once it was their worst ever episode.

#Benidorm won the 9pm slot for ITV with 4.92m/21.1%, 100k up on last week.”

Did not think it would be too affected by the loss of those characters and while I cant see the attraction myself its still a good performer. Is it down yoy?

Yes, let's make ourselves feel better by putting down others for what they watch. That sure takes a lot of brain cells to accomplish!

Although you could also say the endless praise and discussion is tedious if you dont watch it and think its crap. All views are welcome surely?

It probably won't be sorted till the officials. Ah but was it 22:27:29 or 22:27:31?

This is really quite annoying of Attentional: a similar thing happened with CBB a year and a week ago:

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showpost.php?p=70754276&postcount=797

Yes it was a fairly late change but they are supposed to, erm, check the tape!

DS will presumably rely on Attentional's timing of 21:00-22:00 for CBB. That period rated 2.83m (12.1%).

It all seems a bit unnecessary on a RATINGS thread, especially on a daily basis.

Spot on.

Time to get out of here for today. Got the ratings info that I wanted to see

Indeed.
I suppose it does OK for C5. It gives them a bit of exposure for a few months of the year, but they'll soon be back to showing cheap filler in a few weeks.

I thought it was the best episode since series 3. Some great one liners. A deserved rise in ratings in my opinion.

I agree.

Just because it sells well is that enough to keep a programme going that doesn't rate well for the main broadcaster? I doubt it.

CBB does better than "OK", by almost tripling the regular CH5 audience. It would be like ITV getting 14m nightly.

Benidorm including +1:

Thu 2/1/14 - 6.6m (27%)
Thu 9/1/14 - 5.8m (23%)
Thu 16/1/14 - 5.2m (21%)

Fri 2/1/15 - 5.8m (25%)
Fri 9/1/15 - 4.8m (21%)
Fri 16/1/15 - 4.9m (21%)

It's down on 2014 but the latest episode's share is static year-on-year. It has lost its Birds of a Feather lead-in by moving to Fridays although obviously it has gained a Corrie lead-in. We can argue about the potency of those lead-ins.

23:30 to 24:10 - Celebrity Big Brother Live: 863k (10.4%)

I've not tape-checked, hence the breakdown too.”

Crikey, those are some genuinely superb ratings. That jump at 22:20 is mental. CBB on the way back up again, and it's all thanks to the casting. It really is that simple with this show.

I think I'm more impressed by the spinoff shows than the main show though. CBB Live did especially well looking at the share percentage.

Well said. Too much to ask on here to get through the morning without some derogatory remarks being made.

Still, hard to put a dampener on today. If you're a BB fan, these are viewing figures to be very very pleased about.

By the looks of things, there was an ad-break from 22:13 to 22:17, affecting two quarters, as even from 22:05 to 22:10, it averaged 3.3m.

A good chance that it could consolidate to ~3.5m, perhaps nearer to 4m.

I didn't keep a mental note of ad break timings but that's probably about right and would explain why the breakdown looks as volatile as it does.

Bit on the Side should have Eamonn and Ruth on more often. Not the first time they've boosted its viewing figures and Eamonn especially is a big fan of the show.

This is a difficult one because I don't want to insult people who watch the show. It is just that I am disappointed that something like this is on TV in the first place. These aren't even interesting people to watch.

“Corrie was the most-watched show of the day, attracting 7.58m (34.7%) at 7.30pm on ITV as impostor Andy Carver finally told Steph that he has been impersonating Michael's son. 7.46m (32.4%) returned at 8.30pm and 156k (0.7%) on +1 as Steph decided to cover for Andy in fear that the truth could kill Michael.”

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3...p1D24sKQ5xZA9I

Including their first repeats, it's 7.7m (at best) and 7.6m for Corrie ; 7.5m for EastEnders and 6.4m for Emmerdale.

But Benidorm has been on Fridays before. Was it facing 8 Out Of 10 and Big Brother back then? That could be where some of the audience has gone.
