The Coaches and Crowd on form tonight. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves on The Voice UK .
Everyone always enjoys themselves on The Voice. The positivity is the main strength of the format. If only they could just get everyone to enjoy watching The Voice!!

Not necessarily. If this flops, after viewers didn't give Professor Branestawm a chance and also went nowhere near his feature film, it rather suggests to me that the 'Harry Hill' character is wearing thin on the public and so he'd be better off disappearing for a bit.
We'll viewers didn't go anywhere near any of his Non TV Burp work either before, during or after TV Burp, except for You've Been Framed, so his character is probably just as thin as it's always been. It's always been a bit niche except for TV Burp.

I was surprised to see Stars was made by Endemol, I'd expected it to be ITV Studios.

Stars in Their Eyes ended 7 minutes early, so watch out for quite a big difference between the full slot and tapechecked numbers. No idea why they scheduled it to run until 8.05pm. Expect The Voice to get a boost around now.
I would have liked to watch SITE but so typical of ITV to slot it up against The Voice UK (Which had the same slot in Jan last year)
Naff all on tomorrow too so that would have been the perfect slot.

Endemol always owned the format I think, it was just licensed to ITV (Granada) back in the day.

I dunno they seemed to enjoy themselves a lot more tonight then in past episodes. I disagree tbh
It does well on social media and it's ratings have been decent.

I was surprised that any studio was happy to put it's name against it but it takes all sorts to make a world.

"Bungle" on The Voice.

You just cant make it up.

I would have thought all those years dressed up in that costume would have left anyone deranged-but he seemed ok
He's not the original Bungle, Stanley Bates (1973-1989) , but a much later incarnation.

Bit of a misrepresentation, me thinks.

On a different note, does anyone know what Nanny McPhee & The Big Bang got last Saturday night on ITV as I don't think it was ever reported?

In which case it sounds like the strength of 'Burp' was the format rather than the presenter, so they should go ahead and recommission it with a new presenter if he doesn't want to be involved. Maybe even if he does.

SITE is getting a kick in on twitter. someone said '
[Harry Hill's #StarsInTheirEyes] is dreadful. Whoever signed that off should be ashamed.'

I think it will rate well tonight and drop off. At least ITV didn't put Takeaway on tonight
as I like to watch it and The Voice UK live if I can.

Ahh I see-Stanley would have been my era then. He had got the voice ( ) to perfection though. Pity his real voice wasn't quite up to it.

I disagree.
The format was right for Harry I thought. I saw an episode on Gold the other week and the shows looks so outdated already yet shows like One foot and Only fools doesn't as much.

Ant and Dec are filming Britain's Got Talent at the moment otherwise Takeaway would probably be back with a much longer run.

did you ever see the Aussie Burp? Harry was TV Burp, its just one of those examples where the talent and the show suit each other, and neither work without the other.

Later series, Harry did get very indulgent.

I will say I haven't watched it but I understand.

Stars + Harry In Their Eyes, abbreviated # SHITE. - I posted at 9 am it's the wrong slot for a comeback now threads say it's terrible.

(( Watching TVUK which is good))

Er what. Not many people could have done it better than Harry, if any. It was precisely because he was doing it that it worked, they were a perfect fit for each other.

Take Me Out is on a hiding to nothing. Starting two thirds into The Voice with what will probably be an ailing lead in. Why on earth they didn't extend Stars in Their Eyes (they could have added more time to each performance and an extra contestant) to ninety minutes so Take Me Out at least had the 'crossover' from The Voice to help it.

Ah but can you expect anyone accepting a new presenter?

Viewers struggle with that even when it's a show with just straight autocue reading, never mind a show that is based on the presenters personality.

I look at The Voice and it's all well and good and everything but I can't help but think The X Factor is still the daddy of these shows. Ironic considering it comes across so tired in itself.

Yeah I noticed but I mentioned TV Burp because I saw that was topic of conversation in this thread at the time.

I don't agree
