Ladette to Lady (Australia), which has the potential of having under 2 million viewers.

-Australian import
-2 x drama repeats (Taggart & Doc Martin)
-2 x mediocre factual programmes (Superhuman & Cops With Cameras)

The only new decent shows to start seem to be Kingdom and Nature's Fury. However I can see the reasoning behind moving May Contain Nuts from the Thursday, because clashing with the BB launch would send it sub 3m. It has a decent cast and I believe a Sun/Mon slot would grab it 5/6m. A Wed/Thu/Fri slot will grab it 4m at most.

I haven't seen ITV's new Saturday schedule after BGT finishes, but I guess the week directly after will put Mr & Mrs into BGT's slot and keep Primeval where it is, with a film repeat after Mr & Mrs.”

Yeah, I agree about May Contain Nuts, but I'm guessing that they're saving it for a Monday slot after Ashes To Ashes, or Wednesday after The Apprentice. Balloon Adventure looks like it's getting Thursday, but they're delaying it a week so that it doesn't clash with BB's launch.

As for the Saturday schedule, I can see them doing what you've suggested, but also, Do The Funniest and Millioniare are due back for 12 part runs this Summer. Do The Funniest will probably take Mr and Mrs' current slot, with Millionaire (which looks like it'll be airing on Saturday this series) taking BGT's slot, with Mr and Mrs taking Primeval's slot, to be replaced by The Cube after it has ended. Also, you're forgetting Mumbai Calling, which should air after Millionaire at 9pm.

ITV have already started advertising May Contain Nuts so it will be interesting to see where it is slotted.

I think ITV will have a decent Saturday schedule over the Summer-much better than last year anyway! Do The Funniest/Millionaire/Mr & Mrs are all good for 4-5m viewers and The Cube should get 4m+. Not too sure how Mumbai will do after the first episode.

I presume that The Cube is another quiz show? Apart from Millionaire, quiz shows on Saturdays on ITV flop. The Colour of Money is a prime example. I remember The Vault from a few years ago with Davina McCall, also on Saturdays, which flopped.

It's a gameshow, but it looks better than The Colour of Crap. Here is the information on it.

The Vault didn't flop on Saturdays. It was quite popular, often getting over 5m.

But it flopped after it was moved to Tuesdays up against Holby City, when it got around 3-4m.

We'll have to wait and see how the Cube performs... I think it'll rate better than Colour of Money, which was just a terrible show.

Good figures again for TTN: Barrowman is pulling people in after the relatively disappointing figures for RH. Let's hope for a second series of TTN

Fantastic Ratings for BGT on a hot summer's day.

I will watch later as I was down the beach last night for a party.

Fantastic for BGT last night. I think tonight's first live show will get over 12 million viewers. If Susan Boyle is performing last, I could see a peak of 13 million.

I've never understood why ITV or other stations don't show many Aussie shows. BBOZ would have been good to see before it got axed, as its similar set up to ours. Australian Idol and Australia's Got Talent could do well for ITV2. The Chasers War On Everything is another great programme, would fit on More 4

I'd love someone to pick up Packed to the Rafters - that's done very well down under, and generally speaking Aussie comedy is closer to ours than that of the US. I'm sure it would do better for E4 than some of their lower profile US imports.

Agree with you completely. Rafters is a great family show, something like weeknights at 7:30pm on E4 would be a good slot for it.

I'm sure also there is a place for the likes of City Homicide on British TV, but no; it seems imports wise here in the UK - aside from a few soaps - it's American or nothing, even though only about a quarter of the US shows we get over here are actually any good IMO.

Also there's a quirky Canadian comedy called Corner Gas which is simply superb, ran for 6 seasons altogether totalling 107 episodes. I would LOVE to see them all. Aired in its entirety in both Australia and the US, but still no UK broadcaster has picked it up.

And what about Shortland Street, New Zealand's flagship soap opera? Aired here for many years on various ITV regions and to my knowledge it was fairly popular. Then when ITV began to phase out regional variations in the day it disappeared never to be seen again. Surely a place for it somewhere on multi-channel TV?

Good for Primeval. Surely it must be safe now.

I think Ben Miller deserves it too. He's not had an awful lot of luck in terms of the shows he's worked on but I think he's a credible actor all the same.

Oh, I don't know. I'd be surprised if it rated that badly to be honest. Of course even 2m would be more than it gets back in Oz

By the way, I can't believe Big Brother is only 11 days away and it's barely received a mention on this thread.

With respect, a proper scheduler wouldn't have the chance to change things around so often! What you've done PJ is: Corrie one week, no Corrie the next week, Emmerdale 8pm, Tonight 8pm, etc. Why not just stick with one core schedule, like how it is in the real world?”

LOL, I think you miss the point. I wouldn't seriously have Corrie one week, not the next week. They're just ideas. Each idea would run all the time. There are many different formulas.

Also, I think you've purposely picked a schedule I did many a month ago!!! They are different ideas, which I post at different times.

Do you really think that I think ITV change their schedules every week

ITV's share must have been pretty big last night, with 50% being held over 90 minutes of primetime.

I'd guess that Mr & Mrs had 27%. Primeval had 25%. Then Britain's Got Talent 50%. I wonder how the news faired, as well as the film, but I'm sure the average was brought down quite substantially.

I think it'll be over 30%, which ITV will be delighted with. It seems the later BGT is, the higher the audience.

Another massive figure for BGT. The series is currently averaging 11m in the overnights so the official rating will be close to 12m. I'm assuming all the semi-finals this week will continue to score big ratings. Next Saturday's Final could be hitting 15m i reckon!

Wow for BGT. Didn't think it'd be back over 11 million so soon. I expect big figures again tonight - and putting Susan on the first show was definitely a wise move.

So I make it that BGT's auditions ratings are up 26% on last year. And for last nights show, ratings were up 46% on last year (7.7m).

But I don't get the point of having so many different ideas ?

Why not just stick with the same core schedule. I don't have a problem with the fantasy schedules, but by changing your fantasy scheduels every other week it's difficult to know what you actually want.

Just to clear a few things up:
Do you want Emmerdale at 7pm or 8pm?
Do you want Evening News at 5:30pm or 7pm?
Do you want Corrie at 7:30pm and 8:30pm or just 7:30pm or just 8:30pm?
Do you want Dexter at 9:30pm or 10:30pm?

Nothing personal against you, but I'm just curious .

Yeah, the rise in two years has been astonishing. I don't know how next year could top this year. Mind you, I said that last year !

I predict a low rating (comparatively) for the F1 today. Bit of a walk in the park for Button. On top of that, beautiful weather here with clear blue skies and abundant sunshine. As I understand it only parts of western Scotland are having a stinker, for the rest of us it's a very pleasant Spring day.

This could really benefit BGT in my opinion. By about 8pm people will have had enough, begin to trickle indoors and families will switch on ITV1 en masse in time for Boyle and co.

Well, that Dexter schedule thing was posted months ago! I wouldn't have it in the ITV schedule really, as there's nowhere to put it. I'd keep it on ITV4.

Emmerdale 7pm.
Evening News 5:30pm, or 6:30pm (both would work IMO) - definitely not 7pm.
Coronation Street: Monday: 7:30pm, 8:30pm; Wednesday: 7:30pm [on/off]; Friday: 7:30pm, Sunday: 7:30pm.
And when Corrie is disrupted by Champions League football, I'd have Corrie for an hour special on Wednesday the week after

And as for Britain's Got Talent, I don't see it becoming stale, because the talent is so broad. We're surprised by madness & brilliance every week - that's why people tune in. And of course, the Cowell factor. It's a simple format really.

In the summer months when we have good weather when do more people watch tv?

The early evening slots must suffer a bit as more people are outside on the weekend or after work. With a fairly good spring, it must be a nightmare for the top channels at this time of year,in the summer they can stick on repeats etc.
