Check out the boost ITV.com got from Susan Boyle mania: http://traffic.alexa.com/graph?c=1&u...w=300&b=FFFFFF

Didn't realise it was that much! Might see a similar rise this week. I think tonight's semi final might have peaked with over 13 million.

Very interesting. Seems there was a little peak for when the XF was on then it died down until the DOI final when there was a smaller peak, but that boost for Susan Boyle mania is phenomenal!

BTW, can't see the F1 ratings being all that great today. A boring race, particularly after what we've seen in the first 5 races, and a glorious sunny day for most of us will surely have dented the ratings - despite the Beeb's valiant efforts at promoting the event (for which they deserve credit) and the fantastic coverage of the weekend.

Although I want Button to win the title, particularly given McLaren/Hamilton's nightmare season, the BBC are really going to suffer if this continues. Button could have won all 6, arguably, and at the moment, it's hard to see where he won't win, or the other teams being able to catch up with Brawn this year.
Monaco really is a dull race. It's unfortunate that nothing much can be done about it, but its all pretty much decided at the first corner. Brawn 1, 2 - done.

The season as a whole is pretty much wrapped up now too - its Button's to lose and barring any major dilemma no-one will stand in his way. I think its a shame McLaren are so far behind, because a fight to the finish between Button and Hamilton would be amazing.

Hm, it's just a shame that many younger kids probably won't get to see all of it at that time.

Its repeated on ITV2 at tea time all week, and the schools and colleges are all off next week so the kids can stay up later to watch it

Some BBC news for a change... Hotel Babylon will be returning in Week 24 (13th-19th June). The day hasn't been specified yet, but if it's the same as previous years it will be on Tuesdays.

At least the BBC are starting to show more drama from the next few weeks, after holding a lot back in Q1. I think the Beeb will definitely dominating the ratings from June onwards for the summer months. Doesn't seem like ITV have much on.

I think its a mistake for ITV2 not to show it!! It would probs be cheap for them to buy and all there American shows will be ending soon!
They might show it in the autumn, after our version. They did with the first IIRC.

And talking of which, ideally they'd screen the last series of America's Got Talent nightly for 2-3 weeks and then begin screening this years just a few days behind the US airing.

As for Britain's Got Talent - I'm glad it's in a later slot. It started out stripped at 9pm, and though of course it's potentially great family viewing, I don't think they should play to the family audience and being on a bit later gives them the chance to air the slightly more edgier acts that perhaps aren't suitable at 7pm.

Talking of which though, I thought they'd schedule that "burlesque" woman for tomorrows show considering it's the only one after 9pm.

Just logged into OnePoll only to find a message about The One Show, no less. They are looking for "someone who has fallen out with relatives following bereavement." Such a cheery show, you can see why it rates so well.

So just when is Torchwood airing if this is the Week for Hotel Babylon, or is the Beeb trying to keep it as quiet as possible?

There's only about two months till X-factor 09, shows how quick this year has gone.

Trouble is if ITV have a summer reality show then what happens during the football every two years. In 2006 Love Island aired at 10pm, but the news is there now.

They could have another go at Surviour, with a few changes it could become a hit.
If you had a Saturday night entertainment show it could be scheduled around the football or be rested for a week if necessary.

*of course we'd all prefer a Ferrari fightback. Could happen.*

Fantastic peak for BGT. I thought it would had averaged a tad higher tbh. Still, a great result.

Thanks dubsj. Britain's Got Talent did well, considering the weather last night. Excellent peak.

Although tonight's show doesn't have Boyle, I think it might rate higher than last night because in the past 9pm shows have tend to rate better. Also more people watch television on Bank Holiday Mondays.

Also, what a great rating for Night at the Museum!

That's good for BGT I guess considering the good weather. Countryfile a bit lower than usual in the Heartbeat head-to-head, while Night at the Museum for C4 did well. George Gently also held up well.

Predictable question: How did the F1 perform from 12:10 to 15:00 [BBC1]?

Dubsj do you have the rating for Saturday's CSI: NY and yesterday's Grand Prix? Thanks.

Fantastic for BGT, holding a 50% share for 90 minutes in a tough Sunday slot isn't easy and ITV did right to start it at 8.30pm, because it captured the BBC1, BBC2 and CH4 audience turning over.

Night At The Museum seemed to severly dent particuarly Countryfile and to some extent Heartbeat & I wasn't expecting as much for NATM considering the weather, so that's great for CH4 and I expect it peaked during the end. Also Countryfile won't have benefited from it not having a headstart on Heartbeat, like in previous weeks. Hopefully for ITV's sake Countryfile will move back to 7pm soon.

Considering that amazing 50% share, George Gently held up remarkably well! With that grabbing a 19% share, there really can't have been much for multichannel to fight over! Do you have ratings for BBC2, Ch4 and FIVE?

Thanks very much dubsj

Ooh! Only 0.1m out on my prediction in the DS ratings prediction. Rats! Although I was starting to think I'd seriously underestimated given the hype and the Saturday night figures and Susan Boyle. That's actually a bit of a crap audience.

Countryfile. Obviously Mummy and Daddy were letting Tarquin and Jocasta watch Night At The Museum. Well, it's educational.

I had a feeling the weather would dent everything - demostrated by low audience but high percentage. Also rated lower than ITV last year.

Me too. If BGT's peak is 1.5m above the average then what was its audience low?

Haven't been here in awhile. Good ratings for BGT. It has the perfect storm of being scheduled perfectly and having word of mouth contestants like Susan Boyle. The final for this will take some beating in the year end ratings I think.

Did you know that C4 are repeating Night At The Museum next Sunday at 8.05pm? And according to the Radio Times web-site, it's also on the following Sunday at the same time - though I'm assuming that will change (won't it?)

How many weeks is HB on for. If it's 6 then it ends for the last week in July, but if it's 8, as it has been in the past, then that takes it into August.

Good ratings for BGT, although I was expecting a little higher for the average, but for the good weather we had, they were still fab.

NATM did very well also. Very good ratings there for C4.
