Considering BBC1 seem unable to schedule it, they'd be better off giving it back to BBC2 really who I'm sure could find a week where 9pm is free much easier.

I guess too it absolutely must be stripped, otherwise they'd have probably given in and played it out weekly by now.

The peak of 13.3 million was in the Boyle segment so i wonder if that will be matched in the remaining semi-finals-Boyle being the biggest name?

Ten winning a Sunday - I've seen it all now. Traditionally Sunday is Nine's day to shine, but not last night. Both MasterChef and Merlin pulled in their best audiences to date respectively.

Just looking at the weather for next few days, weather is generally poor for the beginning of the week, but will brighten up from Thursday onwards.

I think tonight's BGT rating will be higher than last nights to be quite honest with the not too glamarous weather.

I never thought I'd see the day when people would (albeit subtly) criticise 11.8 million viewers as being a 'tad low'. People obviously have high expectations.

Excellent figures for a show that does indeed have the nation talking, and that's despite the gorgeous weather we had yesterday. I think there'll be a rise tonight - the BH Monday show performed best last year as well IIRC, and most people will be in tonight, it's later, it follows Corrie, the Susan Boyle hype will hopefully intrigue any of those who haven't yet tuned in... but I won't get too optimistic because 11.8 million is not the easiest figure to beat, even if it does have the power to underwhelm the ratings thread.

Ouch for the golf. Keep it on BBC Two I say.

It's dull as dishwater anyway and doesn't rate anywhere near strong enough for BBC One.

Also very poor for The Weakest Link. Not sure what the BBC were thinking making this 6 nights a week, as the format is tired as it is!

Good for ITV News. It looks like viewers WILL settle for the ITV bulletin if the BBC bulletin is still 5 minutes away. So perhaps News at 9:55 could be a hit?

Thanks for that list RZT.

Looking at all the figures BGT stands out like a colossus. The Beebs primetime schedule really buckled.To be honest ITV's primetime,BGT apart, is pretty poor but it seems the pull of BGT has made a number decide ITV was their choice for the evening.
ITV daytime is quite pitiful really, certainly when you think ITV will presumably have some lean months coming up-there could be some dire all hours share figures.

It still beat all virtually all of ITV's output. It's live sport at least-and the Beeb do have a varied output-next week I believe there is live Canoeing.

Still easily more interesting than the golf.

In all seriousness, I honestly don't get why some people hold this view that live sport should feature on the BBC One schedule every Saturday, without fail. A few weeks ago there wasn't any and reading some comments on this forum you'd think they'd just let Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross loose on BBC News or something, the level of sheer outrage was so high.

To be honest putting any live sport next Saturday directly against The FA Cup on ITV would be stupid anyway - I can see why they've put film on as they are cheap to put on and can, in some cases, attract viewers.

About as anticipated for Britains Got Talent. I guess the weather factor and the Boyle factor may even eachother out - so I'm expecting something similar from it tonight and for the rest of the week. Its extremely difficult for it to add new viewers at this point - and its no surprise the figures don't add the several million that joined the show at this stage last year. The hype around it has been so massive, you would think anyone slightly inclined to watch anything besides the final is already doing so.

A clever showing of Night at the Museum by 4, which was always going to pull in the punters with the sequel coming out in cinemas at the moment. Its a strategy 4 and Five seem to be using a lot more these days and it certainly works for them.

Countryfile got hit last night - perhaps its target demo was outside - while Geroge Gently performed admirably considering the pretty brutal opposition. I think the BBC will be pleased if Ashes to Ashes holds a similar overnight number in its clash tonight.

Yeah, NCIS was a little down on usual. Only repeats but the second episode at least usually averages over 1m and the first episode at or around 1m. May well be time to rest it for a bit now.

Any figures for Sunday's golf on BBC2 - 2.30pm to 6.30pm?

Any figures for Sunday's Sky Sports last day of Premier League:
SS1 - 3pm to 7pm (but match only 4pm to 6pm would be best)
SS3 - 4pm to 6pm

Golf got 818,00 (8.4%).

I don't know what the multichannel ratings got, like SS1. Hopefully MG or Broadcast will report them tomorrow.
