New factual series for Holden & Lumley, both 60 minutes x2.

And Royle Family writer Caroline Aherne is writing an obese comedy drama pilot for ITV1

Yes there is always one person that doesnt get the joke. Maybe you should change your name to Margo Leadbetter?

The 2 documentries sound a bit rubbish especially the Holden one. However if the Caroline Aherne pilot is good ITV may have a hit on there hands, though that depends whether it is as good as the royal family and more importantly is different to it because it just sounds like slobs on sofas.

I think the Lumley one could do quite well, but I don't know about the Holden one. They need to market the drama well to not make it look like fat people on sofas like you say, but Timothy Spall is usually good, and Caroline Aherne is a good writer, so hopefully it'll work.

Last night's Britain’s Got Talent averaged 12.3m viewers and a 51% share (55% of 16-34s), peaking with 13.6m at 9.30pm.

Fantastic Ratings Yet Again Allthough I was hoping for 13m.

I'm sure tonight will make at least that maybe beating Monday!

Interesting to see BGT go down slightly, but its share rise, suggesting that less viewers were avaliable last night. I'm sure the brilliant weeather has a part to play, but iirc, something similar happened last year with the Thursday show.

Yeah it would seem like on Tuesday there were 25.5m watching TV between 8:30 and 10:00 whereas last night there was 24.5m. Shame about its relative decline because I think last nights show was best so far, in terms of variety, talent and laughter. Monday and Tuesday were awful shows.

So it peaked during Fabia and not the result! Still didn't get enough votes though

An excellent solid rating again but I think it will fall again by another 500k-1m tonight as Fridays are always more subdued ratings wise than the rest of the week, peaking again around 9:30 as viewers turn over from HIGNFY.

Any news on NaT then? I thought people would be falling over themselves to report this given it's likely to be high after it became part news programme, part BGT spinoff #2 last night. Hell, it's been at it all week!

Yeah, I agree, it was brilliant last night. I've no idea how it'll do tonight, as the Friday show was the highest last year, but it aired at 9pm with a Corrie lead-in. I know the Corrie lead in doesn't matter much this year, but the 9pm starts seem to be a lot better than 8.30pm. I'm expecting a similar rating to tonight for tomorrow, maybe a bit higher because the first half hour is against a Total Wipeout repeat that will only get about 1.5m.

Another great rating for BGT-it may be down on Mon/Tues, but just look at the ratings for last year and how much it is up!

I did half expect it to go down when I saw the weather last night, and I think with poor weather it could have made 14m.

I expect a similar figure for tonight.

I know Tuesday and Thursday had a Corrie lead in but (as I think you are suggesting) tonight has an Eastenders lead in because Total Shiteout repeat is hardly a ratings winner. Compare to last night with a My Family repeat (which always seem o do fairly well) and Tuesday against Holby (which did crumble but still had almost 3 million viewers), I suspect tonights show will do much better.

Also shows like BGT are suited to Weekends and not Midweek so tonight should do well. Perhaps ITV should look to put on some Entertainment Friday nights at 9pm. Maybe bring back Stars in Their Eyes, some Karioke contest or even move Millionaire there which should do well with a Corrie lead in.

Good for BGT again. Hmm.... but will the final break 15 million? If the weather keeps improving, only about 22 million people will be watching TV on Saturday night (at a guess) - therefore BGT would need a monstrous 68% share for that to happen!

6.1m for ITV News, not as good as Tuesday's rating interestingly....

@ BBC One though! Also, during GMTV I noticed Richard Arnold said "over 17 million are expected to watch on Saturday...."

ITV News At Ten 6.14m (29.5%)
BBC Ten O'Clock News 3.58m (16.8%)

Fantastic for NaT - it will be in the top 10 at this rate.

It vindicates the 8.30 BGT start as The Bill would struggle to hit 4m between 8-9pm but NaT gets 6m in the 10pm slot.

Same figure as Tuesday, though a better share.

I think at least 23-24 million viewers will be watching TV when the final show's on regardless of the weather.

BBC1's worst night so far being hit quite badly. Fantastic for ITV News-it's had lead ins of 10/11m before and still hasn't managed 4m, so maybe things are on the up for ITV NaT. I think it is almost certain for a top 10 placing this week!

Awful night for CH4 and I expected The Mentalist to drop quite a bit, considering CSI, FIVE's flagship show fell to under 2m.

Strong ending for ER, but I can't help thinking it would have done much better not scheduled against BGT and would have got 1-1.5m. Huge timeshift I would have thought. It's been a great performer for MORE4 and has heavily boosted Brothers & Sisters. It will definetely leave a gap in MORE4's schedule.

I'd say even higher than that. An average night in WiInter is about 24-25m with nothing special on. I think even those who have been watching BGT casually this week will make an effort to see the final thus at least 26m will be watching tele.

Also if the peak on Monday was 15.4m the results show on Saturday is likely to be higher than that.

Does anybody know how Divided, Coach Trip & Come Dine With Me are coping this week?

Yeah, I was predicting on the low-side. I agree, there should definitely be over 25m watching TV at 9:30pm on Saturday. Could go up to 26-27m I think.

I'd be suprised if the results show didn't have a 60% share. It will definitely top 55%.

For once ITV1 is having a really good week and I hope it continues especially for NaT getting more figures than BBC, which it deserves. However with delights such as Fat Teens or summat on Monday and Ladette to Lady on Tuesday I somehow doubt it. ITVs documentry's at the moment wouldn't look out of place on BBC3 (apart from the excellent travelogues)

MG says last night it had 6.3m (30%). On Wednesday though it had 2.4m

I think the figure depends on whether the regional news at the end is included or excluded

What time did NaT start on Wednesday - I was in the pub so wasnt checking! I just remember the trophy presentation being on at about 10pm so presumably there was a bit of post match analysis after that?

I heard sum guy on This Morning say "over 20 million are expected to watch the finale on saturday", i doubt that is going to happen

I really doubt 20 million for tomorrow night's final. It would be absolutely phenomenal if it did, but I have VERY high doubts about that.

I do not, however, think that a figure of around 15-16 million, possibly even 17, would be that much of a stretch. It's had pretty rigid viewing figures all week building up to the climax tomorrow.
