Humax 9200T slow to respond

Just borrow a YouView box for a few days. Your Humax will seem to operate at lightning speed after that.

interesting I have been looking around at replacement options and youview "seemed" to be a good next step as it has iplayer, netflix etc along with freeview channels, but a chap at work (bt vision) gives it bad reviews.

Also the newer humax boxes don't get great reviews either.

If these steps fix much hanging/slowness I'm sticking where I am for the moment.

The DTR-1000 was not good and has poor reliability. You might consider the later DTR-2000 which is faster and there don't seem to be the same volume of reliability issues.

The HDR-2000T is fine. It lacks some of the more exotic features of the earlier boxes but it does the job perfectly well and is much better at things like accurate recording than the 9200T..
