Bit On The Psyche cancelled?

I know it divided opinion but I always thought it injected a bit of humour and debate to the show (against mind-rotting banality of BOTS)

Will miss Iain and Luisa if this turns out to be the case

Yes, it's gone.

Always one step forward and two steps back with Channel 5

BOTS has been utter dross so far this year (possibly always has been)

Such a shame as I always thought the psyche analysis helps to put behaviour into context sometimes. My favourite part of the whole experience

It's the guests - we'd get a more balanced response from a nodding dog. They all toe whichever line CH5 is promoting, and it's so OBVIOUS.

Same here

It was the one part of the series that encouraged you to think (at least a little bit)

Must've burnt like holy water to Channel 5

They might as well replace it with flashing lights and a mobile phone ringtone

It would provide the same vapid distraction it does at the moment

One of the few shows where the guests are MUCH thicker than the audience (along with Jeremy Kyle - and possibly Loose Women)

Well that's good news

But if they've elbowed Iain out I might just switch to US Big Brother on principle

It was always my favourite BBOTS.

The problem with Channel 5 is they don't have any vision

It seems they just respond to online votes (apparently they ran some vote somewhere asking how entertaining people found Bit On The Psyche)

The problem is, much like Big Brother itself, if you just listen to the masses, and vote anyone or anything off that's divisive or pushes people's buttons, what you're left with is what you've got on BOTS now: Emma or Rylan and a bunch of TOWIE livestock trying to fill 50 minutes of air time with opinions that might as well be written in crayon and belched out by Gemma Collins

It's a pity, Bit on the Psyche was the only time of the week where I consistently watched BOTS.

I have nothing against Rylan but I can't sit through a 45 minute show with him presenting, it's just not happening. I get so bored.

I can sit through the Emma episodes.

I don't think he minds leaving he does have loads of other work.

I will miss it. Far better than the midweek show.

It was great when Channel 4 had it. The reason why not as many watch BOTS is because it is dull, blend and boring!

I can sit through Emma Willis - because she is the one thing Channel 5's got right

But I always feel she's better when she's got someone to bounce off - it seems like quite a challenge having her hold together a whole BOTS show with nothing but a confused audience and a few structured reality guests

It's felt a bit like a supply teacher trying to keep a class of 5-year-olds entertained for an hour while waiting for their bus to turn up

I can't agree with you on this one, as far as I am concerned the quacks toe the party line, and speal off a load of rubbish that the producers want us to hear.

So its the end of the Sunday morning "Sack Iain Lee" threads?

Saturday's BBOTS was my favourite and I love Iain Lee.

Ian Lee must be missing out on some income he appears to be have been dropped by Sky from doing the Newspaper review which he did most Sunday Mornings.
Purple.

I hated it. I'm a psychotherapist and some of their analysis was just ridiculous.

Typical TV experts - TV doctors and nutritionists are usually just as bad

But I'd take pop psychology above Sam from TOWIE regurgitating some vacuous opinion a production manager's given her
