Oh, yes!

He would make an excellent Doctor. Very grown-up, and very alien, too.

I thought Robert Carlyle would be good playing the Doctor, when Christopher Eccleston quit after just one series. I could picture him wearing Chris's Doctor's outfit, with the Black leather jacket and so on. In my mind, he looked perfect. But, disappointingly, if he was cast instead of DT, then he would be wearing a different outfit.

To this day, I still think that Robert would be a great choice, and one of the best for years.

I didn't realise he was Rumpelstiltskin xD That was a good film, i watched that at Christmas just gone on Netflix!
