You are right- it's like we're just stating what you would hope to be obvious to all but for some, clearly it's not.
I for one am glad there are others like you (and there do seem to be quite a few to be fair who share these sentiments), but it's a genuine shocker to me that so many have posted as they have.
I am hoping that, as with many things internet related, a large number are trolls and not actually being serious, but I'm not all that convinced. .
