Perhaps I am perverse, but I would love to wipe that vacuous smile off his face ,,,, lol
I don't have to be kind to him because "he is an old man and there are a lot of men of that generation like him" because I am the same generation and don't know many that haven't changed with the times.

There isn't a book, that's the problem. BB just make the rules up as they go along.

He does not want nor deserve kindness, I agree. In the contex t of the show that is Big Brother, it is mildly amusing though.

Maybe his cunning plan is to ensure he gets prime interview opportunities afterwards to top up his retirement fund? If he's in there in the first place for the money, and has nothing to lose, he may well be trying to cash in while the going's good.

Let's face it, a pleasant 71yr old Ken would, under normal circumstances, attract litle in the way of attention post-CBB. He'd be forgotten within hours. A mad, crazed, rule-breaking-on-the-hour-every-hour one on the other hand... £££s

I think he will have earned himself a column in the daily star at the end of all this.

I think he is desperate to be kicked out

I wonder what's left in his repetoire? We've had sexism, racism, homophobia and inappropriate sexual remarks......

I never understand why BB viewers want the controversial people who at least make the show interesting and worth watching, out the house?

What kind of logic is that?

I was thinking inappropriate nudity a la Gary Busey

The way he is going he is going to be the first HM ever to have the police called in to drag him out of there

Perez was the aggressor and the one in the wrong. Hope he got a well deserved warning.

Not at all. Ken made the inappropriate comment and then followed Perez into the bathroom and touched him. Perez reacted angrily but that would hardly deserve a warning or they'd all be in and out of the diary room all day long being warned.

I think one reason Ken got away with it was all the talk from him and Michelle Visage about his "humour" and that he put on a mischievous look from time.

I think another reason is that there wasn't a big, ongoing reaction from other HMs.

The combination allowed BB to treat it as insufficiently serious to warrant throwing out.

(Compare what happened with Jeremy, where there was a big, ongoing reaction from Chloe and there was no way to construe it as joking, not even as objectionable joking.)

Yet another factor may be that, since he's up this week, BB can rationalise leaving him in as letting the viewers decide.

ON THE OTHER HAND, there may have been more from him that we haven't been shown. That was the impression some of the comments from other HMs gave me.

He is not making the show interesting or worth watching to me.

It was utterly bizarre stuff from Ken tonight

Teflon Ken - good name for him. I have no idea how he got away with just a formal warning for all that in one day/night, I was honestly expecting him to be joining Jeremy on the naughty bus home.”

I agree with you totally but alas after last year this bad behaviour It might see him winning
let's hope not
he should have been out the door last night
when I think about Emily one word wrong and she was sent packing
What name??

I think its always interesting to see how housemates react to a bigot or difficult housemate. I don't see any housemates feeling seriously threatened by him - yet. I think the public should be given the chance to kick him out and he should be given enough rope...

Ah, so you missed Perez screaming in his face that he was 'a f...... pig'.
A true statement, shouted aggressively towards a dirty old man.

That was covered by 'Perez reacted angrily'

I suppose in a sense it's ageism at play. I think the reason no one is feeling threatened by him is because he's regarded as an old, pervy, unreconstructed oddball and that has rendered him to some degree dismissable. If he were younger and not so cartoon-like, the reaction to him would be very different in there. So on the one hand, he's apalling, on the other, maybe he's reacting to being seen as old, and an oddball, and of no real consequence or relevance in there.

Not excusing him at all, just trying to figure out where he's coming from.

So he did it for entertainment, for the game of confrontation that is Big Brother? Well he intimated something like this to Chloe. He must see it as his role (reason for being there) or game plan (most bizarre one ever)

Nah! From that excerpt in the DR it is who he is, but perhaps by pushing his attitude to the extreme, others may think he has to be feigning it (as Chloe thought) and he gets away with it even more than he would on the outside.

A game plan that is not a game plan, in that he can let himself be more himself than he is in the real world! It's a win win for Teflon Ken.

From his stint in the diary room tonight, he's getting away with murder and knows it. He was taking the pish the entire time he was talking with BB about his 'naughtiness'. As for telling everyone he 'couldn't remember' the row with Perez in the bedroom and the remarks that led up to it - well, Michelle, for one, wasn't fooled by that lame excuse for one second.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but there's been such double standards by BB. It's like it's one rule for one person & another rule for the other. Several years ago on the regular version a girl used the n word which ends with r to Charley I think it was, and she was booted out. And that was the only thing she did wrong. But now Ken says another n word & also does some other innapropriate things & just gets a warning!?!?
