If they got rid of "previously" and "coming up" clips we'd get another 2 mins footage

Seriously.

I know they are there to encourage people to stick with the show and not turn over but all it does is spoil what is ahead and prove to be really annoying.

There was a whole discussion about Ken in the live feed last night that could have been in tonights show if we didn't have all those "coming up" segments every five minutes.

I'm going to have to swtich over every time I hear the words "coming up".

Yes, I agree and have thought this for ages. If I was editing the program id manage to fit a whole lot more footage in.

I agree.

I remember they used to show a quick, brief clip in the previews, and it was far more effective. Now they're far too over-the-top and showy with them.

Not just them bits but all the stupid flashbacks and music montages too. Ridiculous production on a show that used to have nothing but a voiceover

Yes, I too find this very annoying. Either it's lazy editors who cut down the amount they need to edit by using up time with repeated extracts, or they are afraid that viewers haven't the attention span to wait and see what happens. It seriously spoils the show when we are told at the start what is going to be shown later. It's like reading the last page of a who-done-it before reading the rest of the book.

Me too ruins the whole show, I started to pause it for 20 minutes then watch it since getting cable.

I mute the TV and look away while they're doing the 'Coming Up' bits. Especially the one at the beginning. It's just full of spoilers!

They'd be better off giving a hint at what's to come, not giving away the entire plot of the whole bloody show.

The same applies for The Apprentice - at the start of every episode, they show about 60 seconds of clips from the ENTIRE series, so you can work out from that who's going to be in future episodes based on seeing clips of people that haven't been shown yet. It's ridiculous.
