So what happened to the psychiatric tests?

Clearly unstable from the start, who gave the nod for Jeremy to enter the house?

Some other unstable person on the Ch5 production team. Perhaps Dame Judy

They got rid of them.

Wasn't it said that both Lauren Harries and Paula Hamilton had failed mulitple times to get on CBB during the earlier ch4 years, due to their inability to pass the psych tests?

The psych tests were a resounding success, as evidenced by the psychologically disturbed contestants they've managed to find this series by using those tests.

I read that Katona had failed before she got in when Channel 5 took over

Even when they did the tests in Channel 4 days according to one psychologist who left BB production didn't seem to listen to them. See link below an article by one of the early day psychologists who left because of the ethics involved

Would any of them get in the house if they reinstated the psych test?

Jeremy seemed wacky from the beginning. He was always going to end up doing something he shouldn't. I can see him getting arrested in the future if he continues to be so forward and whatnot.

The people who carried them out probably got struck off.

If its like this now can you imagine in 2 weeks?
they are going to be running around in full body paint with spears and barricading the exits. Not in the least surprised about Perez the guys early website was nothing more than pure venom nearly every story. I actually don't think people have seen him at his very worst yet. Its only since more Celebs started talking to him he calmed down but without that non stop reassurance I suspect that's what's making the guy more and more OTT now.

Totally agree with this.

It was clear to me from the start that he was in serious trouble mentally and it was one of the worst places he could be.
He hit the alcohol hard almost immediately and was also probably getting withdrawal from other 'things' he enjoys taking.

This is not directed at any individuals, but I think people should take psych tests before posting on DS BB forum. It may help.

To be fair, it's perfectly understandable that Jeremy passed the tests. Jeremy is an alcoholic who was sober. When he entered the house the first thing he did was start drinking - from all the time we saw him on our screens, he wasn't sober! Not once. After nominations he admitted to have over 10 glasses of champagne.

The real question is why C5 didn't intervene when an alcoholic began drinking. Surely they have a duty of care to the housemates?

If an alcoholic wants to drink it is their choice. I'm glad they have people in there to entertain, couldn't really care less about made up 'psych tests'.

Sure, but not when by his own admission it makes him mentally unstable to the point he has entered rehab. It puts him and the other HMs at risk.
