I'm not sure how "Well, others say it too" is a decent defense (or who it somehow makes the person in question less outrageous).
Others saying equally offensive things doesn't absolve one person of offence caused, it makes them all as bad as each other. If "loads of people" casually call for more innocent deaths, they're all as bad as Hopkins. If Gervais and Carr tell those jokes (and I'm unfamiliar with their routines so I'll take your word for it), they have an equally horrid sense of humour as Hopkins. All of that changes nothing in regards to how unpleasant Hopkins is.

Nice generalisation there. I'll speak for myself though thanks. I'm certainly no "professional complainer", I simply loathe unpleasant people, of which KH is a very public example.
I've also found the "faux outrage" thing to be highly overused on here nowadays (it must be rivalling "vile" at this point). It's like some people find it utterly impossible that people could be genuinely angered by something. Again, speaking for myself, my annoyance at some of her comments is absolutely genuine.
Hey, if she's "just being honest" (as some of her fans love to trot out endlessly), surely the same goes for those stating a negative opinion of her? Surely people are just as entitled to air their opinions? Though, with the current reaction towards Nadia, I've found it's one rule for KH and another for everybody else.
If nothing ever bothers you, fantastic, good for you, but it's a weak argument to suggest (based on nothing, naturally) that the annoyance demonstrated by others must be false, simply because it doesn't bother you.
Though, on the subject of being offended "on behalf of others", you seem to be getting defensive on behalf of Hopkins right now (to the point where you flat out insult those who dislike her). Funny, that.
