...the girls would be like "oh CALUM!!!, stop, you cheeky boy" *swoon swoon* etc. Nobody would have taken him to one side and told him he was inappropriate, and I doubt he would have been called to the diary room. Is this "ageism"?
Would it be ok for ken to say the bum comment to ladies in his age range? Just asking

If they fancy you you're only being cheeky. Constantly moving the goalposts is a woman's prerogative.

I think the arse comment should not have been part of Ken's warning, however the other stuff was enough to have him warned.

I remember Kirk and Frankie got away with all of that talk...heck, around 50 male HMs have too. Also, I can't remember, did Marlon get a warning after he was commenting on Kim in BB15? She confronted him, but I can't remember if he was warned.

^ You're very probably right on that but you can't just look at that comment/incident in isolation. You have to factor in Ken's general perviness and all-round unsettling oddness from the off. Had Calum been going around making suggestive comments and making people uncomfortable, then yes, I think someone would have pulled him up on it.

So no, not ageism.

If I remember correctly, Marlon was warned (or at least spoken to) about his comments.

You are spot on.
In nearly every series we hear young males and females making lewd/inappropriate comments and no-one bats an eyelid. Ageism.
His other comments deserved a warning though.

I cannot imagine Callum ever saying anything as crass and stupid at that. He has been brought up with manners and does not have to act like a letch like the sad 71 year old has been Ken.

It makes it a lot more creepier and weirder as well when an OAP talks so vulgarly about women who are young enough to be his granddaughters

Absolutely spot on. Double standards very much in play here.

I think anyone making creepy comments would be pulled up on it. Admittedly it might take a bit longer with one of the younger ones, but they would be called out the same as Ken, no doubt.

Anyone saying otherwise is acting as apologist for Ken's poor behaviour and / or being provocative themselves (on here).

If one of the girls had said they were going to look at some of the boy's bottoms Emma and Rylan would have giggled about it.

A perfect example a ageism.

Ken joking that he is looking at the girls bums..

Or the other guys looking at the girls bums but saying nothing..

Which is more pervy?

It's all BBs fault anyway... Why do you think that in this day and age they have a communal bathroom and toilet?

Nah. Even "young, supposedly attractive" Kirk Norcross got the bitter creepster label and got shock-evicted.

Well to add another spin to it , would the females of the house not look at Calum if he had his ass out or similar in the bathroom. Would they wait till hes finished or not look. I highly doub't it. Of course they'd look.

If Calum had brushed her dressing robe he wouldn't have been ejected and she wouldn't have acted like that.

The only 'shock' was that his eviction didn't happen the moment his face hit our tv screens.
