Can anyone explain this?
I texted my daughter today and she received the text but it was listed as anonymous, so she had no idea who sent it.
After discovering that it was me, I sent another two texts and they both identified me as the sender. So what happened here? I thought texts couldn't be sent anonymously. I am with 3 UK and she is with 02. |

I expect her phone temporarily didn't display the proper sender due to a bug. Maybe if she rebooted her phone it will display it properly?

It is now displaying the sender correctly without a reboot.
I am just curious as I have never heard of this happening before. |

Texting/SMS protocols are at least 2456885422 years old it amazing we receive texts at all
They seem reluctant to update it because it's still well supported Probably no more than a glitch |
