You should have the choice not be present when volatile people kick off. Not everyone likes to witness this type of behaviour, especially when it may trigger memories or personally distressing times. I have presumed that they were not allowed to leave until the task was over so had no choice but to remain.

He was right, but his manner and way he spoke came across incredibly aggressive, and made his comments seem shady and unnecessary. Bursting into tears afterwards did not help his cause.

I think maybe he should have asked her privately and calmly if having affairs with married men bothered her.

Possibly Perez is the victim of an unfaithful partner or parent and it's affected him quite deeply.
