I can't work out what to think about katie anymore.

Should I scorn her for not being able to keep up the wicked witch act?

Should I applaud her for behaving like a version of a decent human being?

Should I mock her for not having a single retort when being pulled up on previous behaviour, or living up to her usp?

Should I grudgingly admire that she seems to be making good relations in the house?

Should I roll my eyes at the complete hypocrisy of her berating a fellow HM for making another cry?

Should I believe, as she would like us to believe, that this is all part of some master plan and that in fact she is coldly calculating the demise of her competitors?

I think I might sleep on it.

Undecided? She is fantastic.

Don't be fooled by any of it. The recap is - she deliberately stole someone's husband to further her career and out of spite. She has insulted people who've been killed, she's poked fun at people dying of Ebola and besides actually being racist she has insulted almost everyone else in society. Katie is toxic.

And to top it off - there are people on here who now love her like they loved the bully Helen. It seems being vile wins the race.

I'm decided. She's an awful person, and no amount of reigning herself back in the house will change that.

She's a weak housemate, I expected her to be face to face and expected my TV to be smashed or at least the pixels to be dispersed enough to not be able to watch it by some impact.

As it is I see her more of a nodding dog as she was last night with Alexander having a go at Ken.

As in her past deeds are too ghastly for her ever to redeem herself? Even if her troll existence is all an act?

I'm all for people being redeemed, but I've seen no evidence of Katie seeking redemption.

She is terrible and will be another Helen (obnoxious) type winner all over again.

I knew little about her before this. I'm aware of her reputation but I've never read her column or considered any specific views she has.

So she comes across in the house as a normal friendly kind of person - trying to get on with people the best she can.

Then ... out of nowhere she's in the Diary Room and Perez is a fly that she's going to crush. It's like she's an ordinary person but becomes delusional in the diary room.

I've read the explanation on here from others. That she's created this false personna to create a career - she's not actually like that and can't keep that act up without a semi-prepared script. And that all seems a bit sad to me.... I keep half expecting to hear her say 'Is it cuz I's black?'

She seems OK - but a bit of a sad act .. so she'd never be a favourite for me.

Nor me Droogie, I find her quite sad especially when she makes quotes about ill children with regard to their name. She's a sad cow.

Yeah, I was aware of her before she entered the house but didn't take her or her 'views' at all seriously as she was just attention seeking. A bit like Liz Jones magnified - she seemed to gain a few fans on here during her stint, despite some of her awful views.

I like her as a HM but I just can't get past her odious fame mongering shock value "celeb" role.

I think it's pretty simple really. No one could be Mrs Nasty 100% of the time. Imo, Katie came to our screens on The Apprentice. She has always been very direct and outspoken. She's never afraid to say exactly what she thinks, please or offend. At the end of the day, this is a married woman with children. She obviously has a nicer side to her personality, it's just, we, the public, have yet to witness it.

Who knows, maybe this was the way Katie wanted us to see her warmer side, for the first time. People seem to be liking her (well some of you)

I think she's been a total bore in the house. She smirks, she scowls, she can roll her eyes and slouch but it's just not entertaining.

I expected her to speak up and be involved and she's just not. The whole point of having her and Perez is because both thrive on conflict and gossip. Perez is doing his job on the show, he's being his OTT outrageous gossip guy, Katie is doing naff all.

Mind being more outrageous than Ken is a big ask for both of them.

I get Katie Hopkins and her day job I really do and that’s why I don’t bother to get riled up over the things she says. Katie is being paid very well to bring up topics and hard line opinion up to get people talking. The reason Katie gets the flack is because she hasn’t done enough research to make her opinions or answers more credible, but there is no one else in the world of celebrity is willing to do what she does because of the amount of flack and abuse that goes with it, even if they were more intelligent and articulate than Katie. People have stated we don’t need people like Katie but I think we do, the public seemed to be stuck in the rut of not saying out loud what really needs to be said and Katie is just one person who is prepared to go there even if she’s been paid to do it.

I thought Katie would be exactly how she is being in the house. I didn’t expect her to be all up in other housemates faces but I did expect her to be a reasonable housemate, I think this is the real her and I quite like how she is. Katie will make the odd barb comments which will have a varying degree of truth in them, she says just enough to prick people conscious that would go all pc about it but in truth they had thought it but are too damned afraid to say it out loud.

You make a good point. Perhaps I feel like as though I like her as a HM is because she's not making fun of children with names she doesn't like or picking on the over weight and making ridiculous assertions about the Scots. I guess I have acknowledge the bar I had for her was pretty low.

At least I know who she is. There are 3 people in there I have no idea who they are still. 2 of the guys and 1 of the women. No idea at all. Still.

You are probably right - without the day job she is just outspoken, which is fine.

I suppose it comes down to whether you can forgive her her day job?
