The series recording on youview bt is absolute rubbish. I had agents of shield on series record. And on 26th it moved to 7pm and it failed to record it. That is abysmal. This needs sorting out quickly. And it also fails to recognise that a series you previously series recorded is coming back from a break and you have to re set the whole thing.

I think that's the fault of the box, not the series link. I also have SHIELD on series link and my YouView box recorded every episode.

Never had a problem with series link on my BTYV box in the 12 mths that I have had it. In fact I think it is wonderful. You must have a fault on yours.

Not sure this is possible. Sky advertise it as a added bonus on thier system but that is because they control the EPG listing so can set the identifying control so the box can identify when a series continues.
YouView use a EPG controlled by someone else so therefore do not control what identifiers are used for each programme. This causes some issues but is beyond both BT and YouView's control (DMOL (DTT Multiplex Operators Ltd) I believe supply it but I could be wrong).
So if they identify the programme in the same manner the series link will pick it up BUT if they change the identifier it won't.

No it doesn't. You View series link will record all episodes of a specific series regardless of the time transmitted but not all future series of the same programme.

You are wrong DMOL no longer exists, Digital UK took over control of the DTT EPG 2 years ago.
