Blimey, I'm enjoying this series!

Like really enjoying it so far.

I am just finding them all quite fascinating. The ones I like and the ones I don't!

They are all a bit nuts in their own individual way, and I'm entertained

I tend to agree. In Channel 4 days I disliked nearly every CBB version with a passion and preferred the Civillian BB by miles.

However looking from 2013 onwards in particular Celebrity Big Brother produces miles better entertainment than the Civillian series.

The previous two Civillian series have been just beyond awful

Having not watched BB in years apart from the last CBB I was initially skeptical at the Z list line up. However I knew Hopkins would be good value but Ken is a real surprise package who is really setting the bar. There's the usual few obligitory bimbos but even they are pulling their weight in some way or another. Really enjoying it, well done channel 5, c4 wouldn't have this much bottle.

At times, CH5 really nail the CBB series. I won't say until this series is over, but if it stays the way it is, then I will outright say that CBB on Ch5 is better than Ch4. Ch4 had some weak/dull series. On Ch5, I'd say it was only the first CBB (Jedward year) which was below average, maybe CBB11.

CBB9, CBB10, CBB12, CBB13 and CBB14 all had incredible moments.

Welcome to the forum, thankfully you have chosen a fairly nice and benign thread to make your debut, it can nasty out there ----->

Yeah Beavs, I'm starting to enjoy it more too now the personalities are coming out, the first two nights bored me almost to tears!

are the Gary Busey and Jim Davidson series worth watching?

I avoided both of those because the previous CBBs had been so bad, but I hear a lot of people enjoyed them both

Yes. CBB13 IMO was incredible and the 2nd best behind CBB4. CBB14 was good too, it lost steam towards the end but the first week was fantastic!

I found the last series to be absolute crap. I hated Gary all the way through, and the whole series was pretty much about him. The only housemates I did like were Dee, Edele, Frenchy and Claire, and only Dee and Frenchy of those got shown enough.

I'm in the minority who wasn't a huge fan of the previous one either. Luisa is one of my fave housemates ever but I absolutely hated Linda, Evander, Lee and Lionel which really hindered my enjoyment of the series. Jim was awful too. The only C5 series I've thoroughly enjoyed was the Rylan series though.

BB have selected more blatantly colourful/dramatic HM this. Light the touchpaper and stand well back....

I find CBB very hit and miss on C5, but when then get it right, they produce some of the best series' in the show's 15 year history.

For me, this series is so far electric. I think they have nailed the casting, and this is why it works, and the civilian series fails.

Agree, it's shaping up very nicely. Hope we don't lose the good ones early though.

Busey's series (CBB14) had the best first week of any CBB I've seen, it was just brilliant. One episode in particular remains one of my very favourite episodes of Big Brother, those who've seen the series likely know which I mean . It peaked there, but I enjoyed the rest of the series too.

Davidson's series (CBB13) was eventful too, but I much preferred CBB14, while most tend to prefer CBB13. I'd give them both a go, they seem to be among the more popular series of CBB.

As for the OP, I agree! I loved launch night, then the first couple of highlights were, while enjoyable, a little slow going. These past couple of episodes have been brilliant TV though. I think now it's gotten going, we're in for an eventful series.

I thought both were very good, although people who were horrified by the results probably wouldn't say so. The trick seems to be 'Marmite characters', and it looks like they've set this one up the same with Ken, Katie and Perez in particular. Objectionable Z grade celebs make much better viewing in CBB than they do in ordinary BB.

I've given up with the regular Big Bro and didn't watch any of the last one but I'm hooked on the current celeb version. Can't Channel 5 lock the whole lot of them in for a few months so we can watch meltdown?

It's the best one I've watched for a long time. The biggest bunch of outspoken fruit loops ever. So far apart from Jeremy's stupidity, no sickeningly false instant love stories or sex starved performances to camera by the desperate wannabees. They could stage this as a Pantomime.
