Number Porting three to EE
been a while since i ported a number. But today my number is going from three to EE. After some advise though.
Got a text from EE this morning saying welcome, on the number Im porting (from three) so i put the EE sim in my phone, however if i send a text or make a call it will go and show the number im porting (which is good) however it isnt receieving any texts or calls if i dail the number im porting it goes to the three voicemail and if i send a text it doesnt arrive till i put my three sim back in then i get a missed call and text notification. question is , is this normal on port day and is it part of the process ? |

It's normal. You'll get weird behaviour until later in the day when both EE and 3 have updated their systems.

I went from three to EE a couple of months ago and my Port took a very long time. Had issues from about 12pm all the way until early the next morning!
Should normally be around 2/3 hours from my experience though. Just depends. |

I wouldn't worry yet, it takes a few hours for everything to port across. The number usually transfers over around 11am-midday.

It can vary from user to user. I went from 3 to EE and it took until about 9pm at night before calls and texts well all correctly routed. My other half made the same journey a few weeks later and her port completed much quicker

My general experience over time with multiple ports has seen: ports in to Three completing first thing in the morning, EE Group and Vodafone ports in completing around lunchtime, ports in to the O2 network (or it's MVNOs) completing in the afternoon/early evening. YMMV of course, before anyone goes off on one, but that's how it tends to run for me. |

My three to ee port took nearly a week in the end but it did involve Christmas period.
