As your location said Croydon I have googled @gamecroydon you will see the £20 off mentioned on the twitter feed as well
I think it must be this deal with 4 games and if is £20 off at the weekend that sounds like a great deal. http://www.game.co.uk/en/xbox-one-co...99&catGroupId= Or for £10 more you could have GTA V instead of Destiny http://www.game.co.uk/en/xbox-one-co...99&catGroupId= Quote:

.....WOW - so them bundles do exist then!!! That GTA one sounds awsome for £329!!! Weirdly, the links load up a blank page unless I then reload the same page!!!! EDIT : They actually have a fair few different '4 games + console' bundles ranging from £319 to £329 - didn't spot them before ![]() Might just have to go for the GTA 5 bundle! Is it still ok to order from the websites - thought GAME had gone bust?!

...website is now down?! Not sure if I trust this website to buy one of these so called bundles?!
![]() Quick question on the settings of the X1 - I was reading a good review of the Xbox One on Tech Radar's website this morning and they stated that: 1 - Another key option now available in the Audio & Video subsection of the TV set-up menu that wasn't there at launch is Refresh rate. This defaults to 60Hz, but I strongly recommend you switch it to 50Hz if you don't want your pictures to suffer nasty judder. 2 - Before finishing set up, it's worth heading into the Display & Sound setup menu and checking that you've got your TV resolution set to 1080p if you have a full HD set, that you've got the Allow 50Hz refresh rate box ticked, and that you've got the colour space set to TV if you're using it with a TV rather than a PC monitor. Can anyone confirm if these are indeed the correct and best settings for the X1 for a Full HD led tv? |

The second 50Hz option is for other content such as DVDs and Blu-ray Discs, again because in the UK (& elsewhere) we use 50Hz not 60Hz for certain content (DVDs, and *some* BDs). So yes, turn both to 50Hz. As for resolution - yep 1080p. Although you can just let the console auto detect during setup. |

Think I will go for this option: Xbox One Console With Assassin's Creed: Unity, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag & Forza 5 Game Of The Year Downloads bundled with Grand Theft Auto V - all for £329.99 Seems like a good deal for the console (don't want Kinect!) and 4 games ![]() EDIT : For some reason, the link only works if you click on it and then refresh the page?!?!

Good job I ordered it yesterday when it was £329.99!! ![]() Already received the download code for D/DL XONE FREE FORZA ONLINE and also FORZA5-TOPGEAR-PACK. I'm guessing that this is the full game of Forza?!!! Should be receiving my console before the week is out - its free delivery within 1 business day (have already received the 'your order has been dispatched' email). Happy Dayz

Sorry - one more question!!!
![]() As I will be giving my Xbox 360 to my son to now use, he asked me if he would be able to use a pair of his own headphones with it, so that he would not disturb anyone whilst playing. I know that I have the official 360 gaming set however, that only, obviously has one headphone and also has a special plug where it plugs into the controller. Is it possible to use a standard pair of normal headphones with the 360 - can these be plugged into the controller instead? |

The side plugs don't do anything as far as I'm aware. They are just there to hold the official plug in place. But doesn't the 360 controller use a smaller jack than regular headphones. It may be just a case of getting an adaptor and using your headphones/mic from your phone? Never tried as I've still got my original headset. I have to admit, it's been a while since I used the 360 online so I've not looked at the back of the controller.

Unlike the Xbox One (with a stereo headset adaptor) or the PS4 (no adaptor needed), you can't plug normal headphones into the 360 pad. If you want to have game sound via headphones instead of via the TV, then they need to be able to connect to the 360 itself in some way (e.g. some headphones use an optical connection) or something else that outputs the 360's game audio (e.g. some TVs may have a headphone output). Headsets plugged into the 360 controller itself are only of any use for chatting, not for game audio. |

I've seen a vid on YouTube though, on how to accomplish this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c-w...yLmC2A&index=1 ...perhaps its probably easier to see the tv has a headphone jack!!! Ok - one or two Xbox ONE related questions: 1 - if you do NOT have Kinect - is there any point in linking your cable box to the X1 via the 'passthrough' feature? And, 2 - If the cable box IS connected to the X1, can you use Smartglass to set up recordings on the cable box? |

1) Yes, if you like the idea of running the TV STB through the Xbox One anyway. There's more to using the passthrough than just having voice control.
2) Yes, I think so. I don't use it for that, but SmartGlass does have the OneGuide and I think it's meant to work as a PVR remote too. |

I hate putting on the xbox to watch either my TIVO or media player. I need to get a HDMI splitter. You're right, its not justified on having to things down to access only 1 of them. Why they thought that was a good idea, I'll never know.
Gonna set it all up this weekend so be prepared for more questions next week!!!!! Just a final one for today: I have the full version of Minecraft on my 360. When I give the 360 to my son, who only has a Silver Xbox Live account, will he still be able to play the full version of Minecraft, if he is signed in to his own profile on the 360, even though Minecraft was downloaded to my Gold profile ? |

If this is the original 360 the game was downloaded and licence tied to all profiles on the console should be able to launch the game, however I think this game still needs a gold account to allow him to play as it is all online.
I'm not too fussed about him playimg online so don't think a Gold account will be necessary. However, I just signed into his profile on the 360 and have discovered that the maps I was playing on, on my Xbox Gold profile, (they were Survival and Creative) are not available for him to use on his profile? There were a few a few times where I would log in to my profile and he would also sign in to his profile and we would play on the same map (he spent a good deal of time building a house on my map) however it seems that these maps are not available to him when I load up the game on his profile?! He only has the option to start a new game?! Is this how it is supposed to be? Is there no way I can get my map onto his profile so that he can continue to play it?! |

Its because its a game save on your profile. I don't think there's any way to swap game saves.
You could either log your profile in whenever he wants to play and let him then join the world. Or Copy the seed number and start the world again on his profile then let him rebuild the house. |

There seems to be guides and videos on the internet that claim this is possible. However I don't know if this will cause other issues such as getting the console banned from the online services.

Ok so I'm back!!
Got my X1 up and running today - bit confusing trying to find where stuff is but I guess I just need practise!!! Quick question : I have typed in a few download codes for AC:Unity & Black Flag so now the console is downloading these games. Can I turn the console off (via the controller) - will it continue to download these games? When I just tried to turn it off, it turned off but there was no indication that it was continuing to download the games ( on the 360, the logo would pulsate to show a background download was in progress). I thought maybe the X1 logo would periodically flash to show it was still downloading - but it doesn't?! Do I have to leave the console on whilst it downloads these games?! |

It definitely continues downloading in the background if you have the Instant On power setting enabled with auto-downloads.
I use an external HDD for storing all my games, and if I set the console downloading something and then shut it down I can see the external HDD light flashing away as it continues to download. The light on the logo does flash though if it's doing other stuff when you shut down, e.g. downloading and installing a system update. |
