Radio plays can be set any time, including between series. The only person I doubt would return is Indira Varma, which is why I mentioned seires 2.

The previous radio plays were quite good.hopefully some of these new ones are set after miracle day.if radio is the only way for Torchwood to come back,I would want a continuation, not prequels(though one or two is OK)

He's doing a tour later this year but presumably will be straight back to Arrow afterward and all those Comic Cons he seems to frequent.”

You realize that a radio play can be recorded in a single afternoon, right? They don't even need to learn any lines, because they can just read from a script.

I'd also point out that he can record from anywhere in the world that has a recording studio...

Anything that keeps Barrowman OFF the telly is good news to me.

And as he's now doing a radio shows on Sundays I'd guess he's got one in his house/s.

More likely he prerecords a batch of shows in a local (to him) studio in between filming.

He just needs to record the links really. i worked in radio up until a couple of years ago. An entire 90 minute to 2 hr show can take 15-20 minutes for the links to be recorded, depending on how much you redo links to sound the way you want. And that time includes your prep time as well.
Practically, within an hour you've got a months worth of weekly shows done. Your producer/ editor sorts the edit, timings out and bosh, done.

Yeah, only Jack and Gwen remain of the original five. But that's the beauty of audio. It can be set earlier, because you can't see that the actors have aged!
