It's also up on youtube, BUT almost the entire music was muted on Artem and Patti's dance. Lovely comments from the judges though and Artem, as always, looked sublime

So I watched the show. Here are my thoughts.
Willow - She is a nice young lady with a great attitude but the age gap between her and Mark is really unfortunate. As someone said, if they hired a young 14 year old pro male for her I think she would reach the finals but I can see her getting eliminated 6th or 5th. Poor Willow. I enjoyed the VT though, they need to keep things fun to keep them in the competition. Willow cannot dance well to survive. Her Cha Cha was a nice intro performance. A little timid but she did well. Robert - So unexpected but he really went for it <333 He was fun and has survived the 1st vote off with that performance. Loved his Cha Cha. Riker - I found it pretty boring and was uninterested. Allison's choreography really is still disappointing me. That said, he was pretty forgettable even before he started dancing. If the Jive is meant to be the most energetic and showy dance they have, I sense a shock boot for Riker. Plus the Derek connection..... *eyerolls* Charlotte - Pack your suitcase love. Patti - Legend, however was it me or did Artem did not come across well in the VT. What's happened to our Artem I did enjoy the Foxtrot though surprising. Was a little slow and sluggish but she looked stunning and it really emphasized the elegance of the Foxtrot. Chris - Not too keen on these wannabe Bachelor stars. He looked hunchbacked and awkward during his Cha Cha. Poor Whitney she is not bothered though. She had a great run with Alfonso so I imagine she wants an early exit to free her from him.Micheal - Sexy <333 OMG he is. That said though, it was a mess, his footwork completely terrible. that fake wax work smile implanted on his face was off putting. He was lucky to have an upbeat song cause otherwise he would have got lower marks IMO. He relied too much on that freestyle rubbish Peta put in to hide how poor the Cha Cha content was. I feel he will probably win ATM. Nastia - I found it to be slightly boring. Average and considering she has Derek is a bad sign. She seems to be a pleasant woman though, so hope she lasts a couple of weeks. Redfoo - Oh dear. Complete hot mess of a dance. He seemed to want to highlight his single instead of compete. More like a disco boogie drunk than a proper cha cha. That said, when he got the scores he looked a little panicked and concerned. So it shows he cares. Either that or maybe he realized he could be the 1st out. Emma fans will save him. I think he could be annoying this season. Oh wait that is for the next contestant, sadly to say..... Noah - First off, he is inspirational and a nice role model. However, this is a dance competition and I have to question why he is on this show. The performance was horrific and anymore dance's like the Quickstep, Jive will be humiliating to watch. I am being honest. His cha cha at best would get 3/4. The judges where being patronizing towards him. It is the first week but I feel if they continue this, it could ruin a potentially good season. I am imagining he gets to the Semi Finals at best. He is the all American guy so he will top the vote each week, plus exceptionally good looking which also helps. Sorry Noah Suzanne - GODDESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUPREME INTRO!!! Work baby girl <333 Fabulous. Rumer - She surprised me, a good foxtrot and this years ringa. However, Val annoyed me. His fake modesty at Len saying it could be his year. Please, he thinks the show is all about him. Just look at Maks.... In his intro it was "I've never won". Why not focus on Rumer Val instead of begging the American audience to give you the win. Overall, I've been completely honest with my thoughts. Think Michael will win if he improves his technique. Charlotte is gone next week. |

My thoughts:
Willow & Mark- I'm loving kick-ass Willow. If she's not bothered about her age, then the fans really should just let her do her thing. No worse than Zendaya with Val or even Sadie (who was about as naive as a 14 year old anyway!) Cha Cha needed a lot more control, 6 a fair score, but I'm looking forward to seeing her develop Robert & Kym- he's looked good in rehearsal and came good. Upper body needs to be a bit more fluid but excellent energy and can't wait to see them in ballroom. So good to have Kym back too! Agreed with judges- 7 Riker- Allison finally seems to have some ballroom/latin nous. It had to be in there somewhere. Not the best opening dance but Riker certainly has potential. Will be very interesting to see if he has more discipline in the ballroom than his young-artisan type predecessor Cody did. If he does, I reckon he could be a dark horse for the final. Yeh, I'd give it an 8. Charlotte & Keo- Keo can't catch a break can he? Zero personality to Charlotte... Doesn't want to be known for just her boobs, proceeds to talk about nothing else... Has about as much core strength as a leaf. Score- 3 Patti & Artem- Sweet but nothing spectacular. Hope she stays but can see her being 3rd or 4th to go. Score- 6 Chris & Witney- well he's no Sean Lowe, and that's saying something. Pretty wooden first dance, room for improvement but see others pulling away from him before then. Score: 5 Sam & Peta- Rictus smile but a good mover, with some refinement could be another dark horse! Especially with Peta's choreography. Score: 7 Nastia & Derek- judges are right, that was explosive for a first dance, not Derek's best choreography but certainly a good opening gambit. Even with mark off for lift, I'd happily give that an 8. Redfoo & Emma- if he uses the show to learn how to dance and not for shameless self-indulgence, he'll do well. But this was a poor mess of a cha-cha. Score: 4 Noah & Sharna- Taking away the sympathy vote, comparing him to Amy, you could forget she was a double amputee at times. I think it's going to be a little harder to mask for Noah, which is a shame, he seems like someone who takes the competition exactly how it should be taken, but really, it was a bit starchy, and I have no idea how he'll do ballroom! It'll be very interesting to see what Sharna choreographs for him. Score: 5 Suzanne & Tony- Well, Tony can't count time at the beginning, Suzanne can't keep time throughout the next minute, and the whole theme was a bit insipid... not my cup of tea that's for sure: Another score of 5... Rumer & Val- I like my Foxtrots a bit smoother than that, but overall, a very elegant and exciting start. I'd have scored a 7, but a great deal of potential for even more improvement! |

![]() ???https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt-f3ZZ2H5Y Cant believe he is pulling me back into watching this season ......WOW...JUST WOW....Good to see you have delurked. Yes I think it was my favourite of the night, great set, costumes, make-up and of course dancing, the paint effect disguised Willow's youth also.Bummed for Emma and Foo. They have been the ones I enjoyed in training the most.![]() ![]() ![]() A lot of the routines seemed all too brief, but some pros put quite a lot of content into their short routines, whilst others had quite a lot of padding, distraction, plus smoke and mirrors. Still that seems to be the way of the show now. I think performance and staging seems to get brownie points, over technique now in some cases. |

Obviously wanted it to be Charlotte but as I said Redfoo totally played it all wrong. He danced to his own song week 1 which made him look so conceited and the show was just a platform for him. When he realised he could go 1st you could see he cared. Just too late. Charlotte being this seasons survivor QUEEN!!! Imagine her defying all odds and reaching the finals <333 YOU GO GIRL!!! Noah needs to go. I am moved watching him give it a go but it will become too much when the decent contestants get eliminated. Got to say, taking back some of my criticism for Amy. Shows she was pretty good as some of her dances looked clean and flowed. Noah's don't, so far anyway.... Chris is gone next week. Even the Bachelor fanbase cannot save him from that hot mess. Poor Whitney lol

Anyone else find Patti's dance cringey. I did not enjoy that at all. Artem really has lost his choreography since doing DWTS
![]() I don't care for the two front runners. Nastia / Rumer. However, Rumer Willis dancing to Rumer has it was amazing as it was destined to happen since she signed up for the show. Just no warmth from them. Production must be sweating for the Len replacement and will hope they get Craig. The others really do struggle minus the occasional funny Bruno. It's obvious the entire audience / contestants value Len the most in the judging. |

![]() Since BBC Worldwide is a co-producer on the show, it's even more whacked out that it's not UK aired. The rates on the show would be cheap. |

Is it only me thinking that the show has went out of its way to give some of the pros very similar celebs each year? Mainly Tony, Mark and Derek. Tony gets the elderly lady, Mark gets the young ones and Derek gets the ringer. These three should've been switched up.
I don't like the tone they are setting that the pros 'deserve' the win. I get that after multiple seasons it would be nice, but it just takes away from the dynamic IMO. I love the more laid back pros, who aren't making it all about themselves. |

I did enjoy the Foxtrot though surprising. Was a little slow and sluggish but she looked stunning and it really emphasized the elegance of the Foxtrot.
